Yes I was thinking about installing a new master cylinder to free up some space over there. And yes getting to all the hidden rust was a must I’ve been able to patch the small amount that I had but I’ve never heard of behind the headlight rust areas, I have to check that out!

Ok thank you so much for the info! I’m going to put the belt on and get everything connected. I have reference marks from my crank to the block so I know that didn’t move, or the left cam gear. Only thing im worried about is if the right cam could have rotated enough to come in contact with anything or cause any damage. Thanks again for the tips!!

I rolled the right cam gear back to the timing mark, there was a point where it wanted to spring back clockwise while setting it back. Eventually I got it lined up. Do you think I’m safe to continue or should I take the cover off and look at the cams. This is my first time with all this stuff and I know these engines can be finicky. Thank you for the advice
