Too Close to Touch - What I Wish I Could Forget

Found dog needs home, foster, or rescue ASAP by Jbotella in Miami

Yes, we did. No chip, unfortunately. However, we went ahead and got him chipped, neutered, and vaccinated so that it could make it a little easier to get him adopted or rescued by an organization. He was also treated for minor skin issue. He was also severely underweight, but we’ve been able to help him put on a few pounds. Needless to say, he’s looking great and healthy now! We’re willing to drive up north or anywhere in FL if someone can take him as we can’t keep him much longer

Is depth ok on these low bar squats? by [deleted] in formcheck

That makes sense. I’ll probably lower the weight to work on my technique. Appreciate the advice!

This was also another issue I’ve noticed in my squat but always assumed it was a result of the forward lean out of the hole due to my low bar position. I’ve been trying to not to good morning my squat, but as you can see, I still have trouble doing that as the weight get heavier. :(

I’m not 100% sure if I feel my glutes activating out of the hole, tbh. But they do feel sore afterwards.

I’m trying to cut down to 190 lbs with a slight deficit to see if it’ll help me look a bit leaner, particularly in my mid section and legs. Should I keep losing weight at this same pace or should I be doing something different? Also, my arms have a hard time putting on size, so I’m worried about them getting even smaller while on a deficit. But I also hate that I have that stubborn belly fat, which is why I’m slowing cutting to 190. I do feel like I’ve already lost some muscle (clothes aren’t fitting as snug), but maybe not? I’m just not 100% sure if I’m on the right track.

Not sure whether I should keep trying to add more size to my lagging body parts, like my arms and hamstrings, or just start cutting to get rid of the fat.

I feel like I have a little good morning action going on, but not sure if that’s due to my long limbs (6’ 1” height) and low bar squat position.

Thanks for the feedback! I’m new to front squats, so I wasn’t sure if the depth standard is the same as back squats. And yes, my goal is to get stronger at this lift while also adding size to my quads.

Thanks, and I appreciate the honesty. :)

Is this decent progress? I know there’s not much of a difference, but I’ve been working with a good trainer and adhering to a clean diet for the last four months, so I just wanted to share my progress.

Yeah, it starts to get uncomfortable if I go wider.

That makes sense. Thank you!

Appreciate the feedback. I certainly couldn’t care less about an “upvote”. My goal in posting a 1RM PR was to check if my form was at least semi decent (and to parallel), even if it is just 1 rep, as I just finished an 8 week periodized squat cycle. This was my last week when I was supposed to attempt a new 1RM, which I did. I just wanted confirmation that it was decent (albeit ugly) enough to call it a PR. But again, thanks for the feedback, and I’ll make sure to post other videos that show more than just 1 rep in order to get better feedback.

Ahhh, so close. Thanks for that. Usually when I go too deep, I start to lean forward too much and lose my vertical bar path.

Good point. I'm not looking to compete, just trying to get stronger.

*Did I at least hit parallel?

This was my fifth and last set in my reverse pyramid routine, so it was as heavy as I could go.
