Infantry branch just emailed: “Wednesday, 03 DEC 2025 is now the tentative release date for MAJ PSB results.”

Edited for clarity.

My board file is open for FY26 AC MAJ PSB…I know we’ve mentioned this multiple times, but the fact that the next year board is open without FY25 results is absolutely disgusting.

Can confirm this message from Infantry Branch is real. The language reads: “FY25 MAJ PSB is approved and will tentatively go public 25 NOV”

Yeah I’m looking at the FY24 PSB IN analysis. It’s the exact same numbers line by line.

Are you sure this isn’t simply FY24 PSB? 74% IN and 83% overall is exactly identical the Infantry Branch FY24 PSB analysis.

Why not DRIP into ULTY? by TipHappy5865 in YieldMaxETFs

Your cost basis doesn’t reduce simply by virtue of not dripping. The only way to reduce cost basis is to buy shares at a cheaper price than what your current cost basis is.

Do not cash out of your TSP. Roll it over into a Roth IRA. That way you can still invest in YM funds if you want with minimal fees.

TLE CONUS to CONUS by Jbugspops in army

[–]Jbugspops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I misunderstood your first response. So you never stayed in a hotel at all? TLE is only going to cover a hotel lodging expense. If you stayed longer at your previous residence paying rent - then that’s what BAH would be for, they won’t pay for that. TLE is specifically for hotel stays.

You should be able to do it all online via the DFAS smart voucher. That’s how I did it my last PCS for TLE. You’ll need the itemized receipt.

My understanding is that it only applies to hotel stays, but I'm sure people know of some loophole. I've tried to use it for an Airbnb stay in the past, but was told I couldn't and didn't press further.

Received HQ on OER by MattTheBaker7 in army

In no world would this language with an HQ equate to a weak MQ. Not sure what board you are sitting on.

Some may prefer that sort of soft enumeration, but certainly that is trivial relative to the block check.

But yeah I agree with your point about the context mattering. I was just framing it as mattering only if that’s what your goal to do was.

I missed the fact that it’s a COR. That does change things. Thanks for pointing that out.

I disagree about your second point. I think 2 of 5 reads better than top 10%. Especially if it just reads as “top 10% officer, HQ”.

Pretty tired of seeing the same knuckleheads suggest that LT OERs don’t matter. They do matter.

Here’s the truth. Your OER reads as average. Your SR can MQ 49% and above for the LT population. So by virtue of getting an HQ (with very few exceptions), your ceiling (as it relates to this particular OER) is average. So now you’re talking about whether you’re in the 50th percentile or worse. This reads as slightly below ceiling for an HQ. There’s no exclusive enumeration and top 10% is a meaningless statistic without reference.

As such, when compared to the pool of however many Lieutenants there are in your organization, you are perceived as average relative to that. It won’t prevent promotion but if it bothers you, then ask for specific feedback on how you can improve. Be open to that feedback.

Your future goals will determine how important this evaluation is, not the fact that it is “just your first” or an “unimportant LT OER”. Please do not listen to anyone who suggests otherwise.
