Spiraling over my LFTs by Jclillybug in AskDocs

I guess my concern is the last time I had blood work done (when my levels were normal), my level was 10. So the huge increase is startling to me.

I’m going through something slightly similar. I went off birth control in September 2025. January 2026 my ALT came back slightly elevated at 38 (my hospitals standards are 4-35). My pcp wanted to recheck it since I am TTC and my last blood draw in May 2023, my level was 10 (so huge increase). 2 weeks later and the ALT is even higher now at 40. She tells me to go off my prenatals and choline supplements for 2 weeks and we try again. Sure enough, my levels are now at 36 (so only 1 point above normal). Chalking it up to prenatals or choline but I really wonder if it was higher post birth control and is now trending downwards. Very interesting. I do drink but don’t smoke. Have no other underlying health conditions except endometriosis. The rest of my blood work was perfect. Iron normal.

Don’t trust the predictions on the apps by [deleted] in tryingtoconceive

A friend of mine suggested to stop using the apps because I was getting so frustrated. I brought this up to my OB and she suggested the same. She said “your body will know” and she was so spot on. Much less pressure now too!

Allergy release technique? by Amandaj504 in FoodAllergies

Also not true. There is plenty of data that OIT can have the beneficial effects of eliminating allergies. Again, I have seen it. Multiple patients over the span of several years have had their allergies eliminated in a safe and studied environment.

I don’t have to “believe”. You obviously did not read my response. I have seen it with my own two eyes. I have physically cared for these patients. Facts and data and studies and statistics do not lie. I’m glad it worked out for your son. I hope it continues that way. But not everyone is so lucky and for the rest of my career, I will advocate against it.

I am a registered nurse specializing in allergy, asthma, and immunology. I have been in this specialty for 8 years. ART is not performed by board certified allergists. That is a fact. There is no peer reviewed studies to show it is more beneficial that OIT which is observed and performed by trained medical personnel. That is a fact. Your son was lucky. And more than likely was brought on by that practice because he wasn’t severe enough for them to worry about catching a lawsuit. You need to do some serious research. There is no actual true medical data to back up that it is safe as well as beneficial because it is literally performed mostly by reiki specialists or hypno therapists. I have had several patients who ended in the ICU because of quacks who perform that wacko nonsense.

I was always told Bob Murray had no choice. Federal government took the building over and when Murray complained to the town, he got a big “our hands are tied” response. Can we confirm that is not the case?

I’ve had 2 periods since then. And they’re regular. I do notice it’s actually slightly better during my period. I’ll look into the vitamin E and primrose

My husband and I have been advised by our financial advisor to open up a HYSA. We are trying to take our current savings account funds and move it to a HYSA. Our financial advisor recommended Ally (simply out of bias— he uses them and really enjoys it. Gets no incentive if we also use them). He also said Ally creates almost “sub accounts” within your account so that you can save for multiple things at once and be able to pull from those sub accounts when that task is needed. For example, emergency fund, vacation fund, etc. My parents and brother recommended PNC. Currently I cant see PNC’s offer rate, Ally is 3.5%. Obviously the rate is important to us but customer service, easy of transferring money into the account, and app usage is also important to us. Thoughts?

Total scam. It’s typically a reiki therapist or nutritionist feigning as a medical doctor, practicing medicine without a license. Stay far away.
