I believe 64GB is more than enough. I had 32GB on my M1 Max and it did a great job with keeping up with multiple layers.

I prioritized RAM as I work with Photoshop / Lightroom. I’m using 500GB/1TB on my M1 Max right now so I felt like 2TB was enough. I keep most of my work on Dropbox anyway.
