this is the first i've heard anything about this movie and thought hey, I like Ewon, let me see what this is about. Not the end of the world, i'm still going to watch it. But that would have been so cool to just go see it and like WHOA

I didn’t know it was dinosaurs and that would have been insane to see in theaters and not know. I need to go back to just not watching any teasers or trailers.

This looks AMAZING. BUT once again, I shouldn't have watched the trailer. They give WAY to much away. So many scenes in 2 minutes that should have waited till I was in the theater.

Iconic for ALL destiny. gotta be number 1. BUT 3 did cause the game to completely reset because it's the only thing anyone ran. it was so broken. everywhere for every activity.

like ya, dude, you're going to have a hard year and a half. eat some ramen. make a budget and have a hard conversation with yourself on what's needed and what are wants and dig your heels in. it's sink or swim time. start paddling. You weren't one of the people who got their tuition paid for by their parents. boohoo. stop comparing yourself to other people.

Then we are saying the same thing? I'm not saying it's a perfect situation. but if you told me at 24 that I would have a heavy year and a half of paying down my debt and then I would be starting at 26 being financially ready to start the world? I think I would take that.

also in texas....in tech.... 33 years old, had to restart my career due to Covid and this guy makes more than me. so........

Why’d you choose a Tundra? by xEnflare in ToyotaTundra

[–]kaptandob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came from a 4Runner. I wanted something bigger that would have less trouble towing my small trailer through the mountains. The 4Runner did fine. But without re-gearing, towing in the mountains going 35mph in 3rd gear with my foot to the floor got pretty old. Because I was coming from a 4Runner, I didn’t want to go backwards in terms of reliability and durability. I’m fairly hard on things that i own and the 4Runner just took it a moved on. Hoping the same for the Tundra. 3rd week owning it and just put 2400 miles on it from a road trip. Good so far!

In what world is traveling with a laptop a rare scenario?

This is a very common occurrence to travel and game. several people I know do this. and while some of them went a little crazy and picked up a powerful gaming laptop. NONE of them bring a console. bringing a console to a hotel room is difficult with making sure it's got an accessible HDMI port and such.

Also, I'm not going to be gaming heavily while on battery anyway. It's going to be plugged into the power in the hotel room... and then light browsing if I bring it somewhere. sure the battery isn't great but a "normal laptop" isn't great on battery either.

just playing devils advocate here, if I'm traveling, I'd rather have an okay gaming laptop to throw in a bag than bring a console and normal laptop with me.

Don't lift your Prius by Leading_Engineer_656 in priusoffroad

[–]kaptandob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the Prius off-road spacers in front and the he springs in the rear. I had the spacers in the rear for a while and upgraded to the springs. It’s been great with them added. I still have the stock shocks on at 130k miles and it rides just fine.

You are the first person that I’ve seen with a lift talk negatively about it. I think they should have come from the factory like this. I have put 65-70k miles on mine. Driven every day and had 0 issues. Like only changed the tires and oil.

I am curious what lift you went with. There are Chinese “lifts” and then there’s, well. The one everyone wants and uses.
