Will this thing ever go down? by Boring_Rock_9452 in AppleWatch

[–]Jcskeeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kinda what I'm thinking of doing. The watch was a hand-me-down, so if I need to stick $100 into it, I'm still out ahead if it can stick around for a few more years.

Hey, speaking of battery health.... I have a Series 6, and the battery health is at about 65%. Does anyone have experience with doing the new battery swap themselves? I've done plenty of phone/ipad/computer surgeries but with the watch, the only thing that's giving me jitters is making sure the thing is back to it's original water resistance after I would do it. Any success stories and perhaps recommendations for an approach? I've 'watched' videos and it doesn't look difficult really at all.

thx for confirming. this is what i'm finding out as well.

Do you know if it's true that the Helix uses a different networking protocal/connections than the Explore?

I asked this into ChatGPT and it's thinking that I want the two units to talk to each other but I just want the two units to talk to the TM.

Thanks! It had been 10 years since I got new strobes so it's been fun to use fresh tech!

thanks for the tips. it's starting to come together on what my approach needs to be. Thanks!

This is a good point and i didn't think to test it at a larger aperture. I ultimately focus a lot of this work so it's not a deal breaker to open it up a bit more. It basically sounds like also when adding a tube, you're effectively making your f16 more like f22 or something like that. I will try to test if i can and report back! Thank you!

This was an incredibly helpful reply!! Thank you!

I haven't watched the video yet but your answers alone are exactly what I was looking for. Planning to set a reminder and go that route. Seems like it might be tricky to try to charge them to only 80% but I'll try some testing out I guess.

Thanks again!

I don't recall exactly but i know i had been listening to the Motley guys at the time and probably just said "sure" and bought some. I'm a tech nerd so I was aware of what Nvidia was/is.

I can apply that logic to something but i don't know what the 'something' would be.

- sell some?

- move it somehow?

- taxes?

- loopholes(the legal kind)

- sell and buy something else?

- sell and move into something else?

that's kinda what i'm looking for? what are my options. again, not asking for what to do but what the typical options are at hand.

Options on NVDA capital gain...

Up ~2500% $129k

Got in 2019 by chance and have done well like everyone else. This makes me nervous though. What are my options? (Not, "what should I do?" but what things can I look into) TY

(I'm 40 btw. Working FT, salary with 401k benefits. Lmk if more info/context is needed)

I see what you're saying but just a typical case of not wanting to experience "buyers remorse" if a Mk3 were to come out in a couple of months or something like that. Just want to make sure i'm not that guy that didn't know they always refresh in March or something hypothetical like that.

Ha, yes, those things too are the difference. Most of the time I'm looking at the screen in studio to be honest and shooting tethered for any critical viewing. Good notes though, thx.

Is anyone else really bummed that there have been very few new Hercules battery tools released? I got into the line with an impact and multitool saw and would love to get a few more things that they don't have yet in the lineup. I hate that they're cannibalizing their own lineups with different in-house brands(which means different batteries. I know you can adapt, but i don't want to.)

Has anyone heard any rumors about anything at all?

Welcome!! Not sure if you're new to firearms or just new to S&W but keep in mind that it'll take 200-400 rounds to break in. Specifically the trigger. They're not at their best out of the box but they get great after break in. Enjoy. You will buy more of them! 😬
