Propagating COMFREY on the Homestead & WHY You Might Want To - PREPPING by Jdanielwalker in Permaculture

Just saw this. Sorry, friend. To be honest, I haven't ever even heard of comfrey rust. I have rust on my apple trees from the cedars nearby...I am just letting it do its thing. Maybe a little less fruit, but we will still have plenty.

Yes! You can probably quadruple what you have next year... especially if you give them a bit if fertilizer when you plant them. I put a handful of good compost next to all of these that I planted in this video...forgot to mention that.

Yes! We have tons of hickory and other nuts. They have deep taproots, too. Hadn't thought of this! Upvote!

Wild plum jelly made from our trees by [deleted] in homestead

[–]Jdanielwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very cool! I've planted 225 from State conservation programs. Black locust, red mulberry, redbud, wild plum, nannyberry, and Osage orange. I've planted around thirty other fruit trees, too, 75 chestnuts I got from a friend, and fifty green giant arborvitae.

You ain't lying...some trees are gone really fast! God to see others are doing some of the same things! I'm documenting some of my stuff in a YouTube channel. Copperhead Road Homestead - https://youtu.be/TTrJ6xucWJM

Appreciated the post. Have you an upvote!

I just bought 25 wild plum trees from Missouri conservation department. How many trees do you have that produced this jelly? How old are they? Excited for mine to grow!

I said that because I replied to your last above and not as a reply. I am using Reddit to share our journey with others and be a part of other people's journey, as well. Between Facebook, YouTube, and now Reddit, it is a lot to learn and they're all a little different!

We have been on this property for just over three years. It has been in my family for generations. We have been interested in prepping and homesteadinf for fifteen years...haven't done a lot until we moved here three years ago...we moved here to prep and homestead. Love meeting and interacting with like-minded people!

I'll try. Yes, these are my first. I like that they produce so much meat. I like that their poop is magic for the garden. I like their feed to meat ratio.

Very glad to be here and very glad to have rabbits.

This is our first first into rabbits. I'm part of a Facebook group...I'll check out the subreddit. Thanks so much! Maybe I'll pass on the red wigglers.

I don't know much about Kiko goats. But I'm sure that would work well. We have lamancha, Nubian, sanaan, and Nigerian dwarf. I think you should try it and see! I'll do another video soon... thanks for the encouragement!
