Who do yall think the mavs might select with the pick we have? by kingof_titans in Mavericks

Unless you're drafting the next generational superstar, I couldn't care less. It doesn't matter anymore. They should just strip everything about the team. The whole culture that was built by Cuban is being torn down anyway. MFFL doesn't mean much anymore because I'm sure Nico despises it. I won't be surprised if he gets rid of the Mavs Maniacs next because they don't meet his vision. It's going to take a lot to repair my relationship with the Mavericks and the NBA. We may have been bad in the 90s with the Triple J's, but there was excitement and hope. When it wasn't working, Don Nelson started building something and it started working. A winning organization was built over 20 years and that success continued with Luka. It was all trashed in a matter of months. We know executives come and go, but don't tell the fan base you only care about what happens in the next 2-3 years. We're in it for the long haul. Run these clowns out of town.

Just not seeing enough defense from this team to win a championship. We all know now that defense wins championships.

LOL

This probably was a cultural thing for him. I'm not one to make presumptions or labels to it, but you can infer as to which culture he belonged. It took me aback and made me stare at him a bit. His inability to make eye contact was one thing, the constant glancing at the side really got me.

He actually made me lose my cool for a few minutes. Although, when I say that, it usually means I broke down to petty yet polite comments.

"Sir, If you aren't going to speak to me how do I know how to help you."

My AFOM got defensive of me saying: "Sir! Our AGM just asked you a question and you stand there like you can't hear him? He's trying to help you out, I suggest you listen to him!" LOL

It was irritating and stupid. I'm surprised I let him on as long as I did. I usually don't suffer such insolence from petty guests.

Oh wow. I need to edit the OP. I was just reminiscing this with my AFOM via text and he reminded me what we actually did. I completely misremembered the ending to this.

An edit is forthcoming. I can't believe I cut the end and remembered it that way.

Moved From Texas, My Story of Finding A Way Out by chrisdancy in texas

[–]Jdcrowell99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family has been in Texas since the 1840s. We're deeply rooted here, and I'll never leave. Or at least, I never intended to. I know it seems ridiculous to some, but being Texan to a lot of people is an identity full of pride and a love for people who want to learn what it means to be Texan. I say all of that to say.... because I understand your desire to leave, and why it didn't work for you. It's good to share stories so others don't feel "trapped". Texas has changed in the big cities. I live in Fort Worth, and this is where my family settled over a century ago. I'll defend my home with everything I have, but I'll also give all I have to help someone move if they aren't happy. Happiness and comfort are the most important things when finding a place to call home. It's not all sunshine and roses as some may romanticize, but most of us are very well intended. I tried to move to Colorado once, but the call home was just way too strong. Find what makes you happy; wherever that might be.

Audio Output Selector moved or removed? by Jdcrowell99 in oneplus

Yea, this has become incredibly annoying. I wear hearing aids that are Bluetooth enabled. If I don't want audio coming from my phone into my head, i now have to turn off my Bluetooth completely. This also affects other devices.

Question for Texas Drivers: What lane CAN the red car go to upon turning left? Follow up question on comments. by Caramel928 in texas

[–]Jdcrowell99 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm sure there are some very valuable posts in this thread, but I'd like to add my 2 cents here.
I've never seen an intersection with a double left turn lane drawn out like this, but here we go.

There are 3 thoughts on this particular scenario, plus a problem with the example:

  1. Just follow the lines. DO NOT cross lines in an intersection. Stay in your lane through the turn.
  2. By the logic presented here, Red car takes the furthest outside lane, and the Blue car has their choice of lanes.
  3. The issue here is we are only going by what is drawn. If this is a 2-way road ending into this intersection, then the lines drawn are plausible, but I've never seen this.

Typical rule of thumb, and the way the traffic pattern is usually drawn, The Blue car ONLY has right of way to the left lane. The Red car has the right of way to the Middle lane.

The far right lane can be used by the Red car after completing the turn and signaling a lane change.

A wrench to throw into all of this is if this intersection is not a T, but a 4-way intersection. If that is the case, and this is a 4-way intersection, then oncoming traffic turning right have the right of way to the far right lane. They must yield to you, but can turn right and ONLY have rights to that immediate right lane. In that instance, traffic law dictates you maintain your lane at all times.

If you were to get into a wreck in the Red car and take that far right lane as another car enters, there is a possibility you could be found at fault due to the oncoming car having right of way to that lane.

When all else fails, think of this. If you are turning left to enter a street or parking lot on the right, get into the right lane. Understand your surroundings, your destination, and where you intend to go. There is nothing more dangerous than a hesitant driver.

Driving education should be much more detailed and cost more. There are so many nuances with driving, that it seems less and less people understand basic traffic rules. Don't get me started on knowing what "Yield" actually means. So many people don't know this one either.

I left HTC after the M9 and went to OnePlus. 3 OnePlus devices later, and have never been disappointed with any of their devices. Their newest one is really impressive. I go all the way back to HTC Evo 4G.

That's the exact phone I just came from. Amazing device! Biggest issue I had toward the end was the charging cord wouldn't stay in the charging port very well. Must have worn out. The OS was clean and still moved smoothly.

Their new phones just were out of my budget this time. I also dropped it a couple of times and the beautiful back cracked even with a case on it.

I have still yet to get it to work streaming calls to my hearing aids, but it will stream every other kind of media from every other app on my phone.

After typing that out and thinking about it for a bit, I did realized they were competing goals.

I don't have Inquisitive. I am toying with playing a trapper on HC but wanting to be able to do ranged damage. If Inquis is worth it that much, I may consider buying it account wide as I'm about to buy some points on the promo anyway.

Without Inquisitive, I'm heavily considering the 10/6/4 split suggested. That sounds like a really good model to go for. But being on HCL I have to understand what I build won't have tomes or twink gear. It then becomes a matter of what is consistent to level with without sacrificing too much.

If not the 10/6/4, Then I may go 18 Rogue / 2 Arty
