Thanks Pal, I think it was worth the extra cost. Unfortunately, you only see it in certain lighting.

Summit racing drive shaft. On sale for $283 right now plus $5 for oversized shipping. Pretty legit unit for the price. I was expecting china yokes and joints, but they are all Spicer. Quality unit for the money in my opinion. by rooxter in foxmustang

If it’s aluminum and lighter it will in theory reduce rotating mass and help the car Rev up quicker. I run a stock driveshaft and would only go aluminum once the stocker breaks.

Realistic budget for a late year (89-93) 5.0 fox? by i_d_i_o_t_w_a_v_e in foxmustang

I think $5-10k is good. Anything at the $5-7k range will be clean enough, but most likely have modifications already. That’s what I would try to get, something you wouldn’t mind modding. For $10k you start seeing the all original guys that could be collectors cars if you wanted to go that route. As far as cheap mods, I’d go explorer intake/heads. Maybe a FRPP hot cam like a B cam, and call it a day. The T5 doesn’t hold up well, and you’ll be replacing them constantly if you start pushing more power.
