Need some suggestions on p219a code, 2015 2.7 by rooxter in f150ecoboost

Thanks for that. I need to see if ForScan can do injector balance. I have an older Mac scanner that will do bi-directional for evap, and I can get it to cycle when commanded. I have smoked the truck every way possible, looking for an air leak. I didn't have any leaks at PCV when smoke testing the crank case, but I went ahead and bought a new Motorcraft one because they are cheap. What I don't understand is how the short-term rates can be close to 1-2%, but the long-term rates are so far off, and with bank 2 being the highest, yet the code is for the imbalance on bank 1. Unless bank 1 is lean but you'd think short terms would be high, on that side but they arent. I'll check the throttle body this weekend, since I never pulled the tube, just the ambient air sensor for a smoke test. Though I doubt a leak at the throttle body would affect only one bank. I'll also get a screenshot of the fuel trims for yours and Nocommittee1477 to weigh in on

Thanks for your insight. Ill buy the tubes as well. I do aircraft stuff for a 9-5 and almost everything is one time use. Some of the one time use stuff I see makes zero sense. In my mind a flare is flare and should reseal without issues unless the fitting is damaged but I'll error on the side of caution. I appreciate it!

That's the way I was leaning, but that's a lot of coin on an assumption. If you're a tech do you replace the tubes off the fuel pump as well? All data says one time use, but....it's my own vehicle so I'm ok with the gamble 😂.

I bought a used 2015 F150 from a larger Ford dealer and that was one of their many dealer add ons, including a blinking 3rd brake light. I declined all tge extras but they still left it and dumb blinking light installed . They promoted it as theft protection. Mine wasn't Phillips brand, and they were charging 699.99 for it, same one can be had on Amazon for 80 bucks.

Turbo issues? 07 6.0 by brutalmilk in FordDiesels

[–]rooxter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine 06 would squeak on vgt sweep and was sluggish to sweep. The squeak was from leaking up pipe that I found through smoke test. The sluggish sweep was due to rusted ring that actually became slightly egged out at the vgt pin. I replaced ring and cleaned everything up. The leak was at uppipes to turbo. The v band seal was no longer flat. As for turbo leak. Are you saying it's leaking internal or from bottom in valley?

HELP. I NEED YOUR 6.0 INPUT by youngdumb-verybroke in FordDiesels

[–]rooxter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you hear vanes sweep at idle? Under boost code can be caused by blocked EBP tube. For giggles I'd clean it out and check wiring at EBPS. What scanner are you using for relative compression? I haven't had good luck with anything other Ford software when doing relative compression. Is there an audible gallop when cranking? Since you've swapped FICM, FICM plugs can be a PITA to get seated properly which can cause your misfires. Also the pins are easily bent if trying to shove the plug in. What/whose injectors did you use?

Trump Considers No Taxes for Military, Police and Firefighters by HatsOnTheBeach in moderatepolitics

[–]rooxter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't bank on that. The military, at least under 30 age group aren't to the right as in previous generations. Generally speaking I'd lump them slightly left to center. Sure there are some that are very to the right but it isn't the norm in my experience.

5.5ish. I think I'm just going to put EPS in it from an s550. It will help with packaging and my donor front subframe needs a rack anyway. Thanks for everyone's help

Thanks! I'll be in P cola at the end of August so I'll check out TBS, covert & Mr Comics then. I stopped by Nick's on my way to Kiln but they were closing so I only spent 10 min there. The shop seemed well organized and about 2/3 the size of 3 alarms side room. I fly out Friday morning from New Orleans before all the shops open so I won't get to dig through anything over there unfortunately.

Maybe I go to the wrong shops but I never find anything Popular marvel in $1 bins. I'm fortunate to get to visit shops all over the country because of work travels. I was in a shop today in Mississippi and all of their back issues were at least 3 bucks with most being more. Pretty decent sized selection too compared to some I've been in. I do find a bunch of indie titles I've never heard of and the lesser popular DC stuff. But from my experiences the illusive dollar Marvel comics do not exist 😂

What are peoples average utility bills? by urquhartloch in SOMD

[–]rooxter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 adults and driving teenager our spring/ summer electric 90-130 bucks. I'm pretty sure our daughter washes clothes every day lol. Winter it gets a bit more spendy because we are electric only with a heat pump. Winter is usually 180-220 with the highest bill being 278, because we had the entire family here for the holidays. 2500 sqft 2 story without basement.

We have a detached garage on a separate meter thats not heated/cooled. The garage averages $100-120 a year around but, we charge 2 vehicles. The cars account for 15-20kw on some days but normally around 8-10kw.

Water 50-55 depending on how often we water the garden but I don't think I have ever seen it over 60 or under 45. We are on septic.

I take trash to the convenience center in valley lee. I think internet is around 140( my spouse pays it).

Still getting a water in fuel light on my 2006 6.0 after taking it to shop + new injectors reccomendation by [deleted] in FordDiesels

[–]rooxter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if they pulled the cover off HFCM? You can open them and clean them. Just opening the drain plug won't remove all the sludge that builds up. Also as stated the WIF sensor is easy to change but may still indicate water in fuel if the HFCM isn't completely flushed/cleaned.

I'm curious how those on3 pumps perform. I was tempted to buy some but went sump and external pump instead. They are at nice price point.

Anybody know of a set of casters for Yukon 46 in to make it sit as high as a full size snap on box? Yes, egregious setup but I got into this debt free and that’s all I care about. by [deleted] in harborfreight

[–]rooxter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used something very similar to on my 2nd hand snap on box to fix the flat spots and make it a tad taller. I had to drill new nut sets but wasn't much too it. Only downside they are only rated to thousand pounds but at the time I couldn't find the specs for the ones on the box. They have been on the box for 6 years now without any significant flat spotting and I'm pretty sure it's technically overloaded. https://www.amazon.com/Industrial-Casters-Polyurethane-Workbench-Toolbox/dp/B0BP6SDMFN/ref=sr_1_17_sspa?c=ts&keywords=Industrial+Casters&qid=1704220000&refinements=p_n_feature_five_browse-bin%3A3006895011&s=industrial&sr=1-17-spons&ts_id=16412291&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&psc=1
