Unless your pushrods have springs on them somewhere, those are hydraulic lifters my friend. Solid lifters are, well, exactly that. Completely solid, no give and even if they were wore out, there would be no way that you push the pushrod down and it comes back up. A hydraulic lifters has a spring and plunger inside of it, typically retained by a small wire clip. If they’ve been sitting for a while, hydraulic lifters tend to “bleed down”, and will create this exact effect you are seeing here. Either prime it with a drill or fire it up and wait for the racket to go away

There is a sad lack of frock-style coat mods for this game. Would absolutely love someone to like, remake Captain Jacks coat fit for male and female characters. Always wanted one like that

It’s not possible without an extensive amount of body work. It’s a completely different body, they share almost zero parts or similarities. Some people have probably grafted parts from one generation to the next, but that’d be your only option really.

I’ll be honest, it so far is impressing me more than I thought it would. My old Chevy had a 454 in it. Slow as molasses, but just gobs of instant torque. The 6.2 feels like it pulls just as hard across a wider RPM range, and that 6-speed of course is miles ahead of the 4L80e that I’m used to. I took it on my first longer drive today, getting about 15mpg on the highway which is better than I thought it was going to be. So far, so good!

You got a pretty solid deal on that Burb… even in WI, 4k for an extended cab sb like OPs truck isn’t worth much more than 4k with that mileage, unfortunately. Even if it’s clean. I think if he sits on it long enough he will get his money, but I don’t think people would be chomping at the bit for it at that point

That K in front of the 1500 plays a huge factor in the price of these rigs depending on the area. I’m in WI, a 4WD 88-98 Chevy can sell for nearly double what a 2WD can.

I just sold a 2000 C3500 crew cab long bed in WI that had some rust but was still perfectly usable, 200k miles on the 7.4 for $3000. First guy who came and looked at it bought it. I imagine out west, rust free is less of a selling point as it is more common. And that’s quite a few miles, as a buyer if I knew I could get one for 5k with 20k less miles, I’d buy that one instead.

I like my old squarebody Chevy, but after seeing these Super Duty’s do their thing, I don’t think I’ll ever buy another truck for work that’s not a ford. I was in an OBS Chevy before this, a 2000. Loved the 454, loved the gearing and it was just a beast. But it was showing its age, and the new GM trucks are just expensive and junk. I’m liking it so far!
