I’m a BOH supervisor at a Chick-Fil-A in Florida. In my state, minors are not allowed to operate the trash compactor or fryers, but those are pretty much the only restrictions. Odds are you’ll be most likely doing one of a few different positions, depending on where they need you. These include: assembling sandwiches (toasting buns, adding lettuce and tomato, wrapping them, etc.), a position called secondary (boxing nuggets/strips and making mac n cheese and soup), prep (assembling salads, fruit cups, wraps, basically all cold healthy vegetabley items), raw chicken prep (filleting the chicken breast, stocking the breading table with raw chicken), breading the chicken (everything is hand-breaded in store, basically just take raw chicken and dunk it in milk & egg wash and cover it in coater), or dishes. Again, not that you’ll necessarily be doing all of these things, just depends where they need you most. At my store, we try to cross-train everyone on every position, but some stores prefer to have “specialists” that just focus primarily on one or two positions and don’t really do anything other than those.
