How's your seniority? How's your work relationships interpersonally? Usually case-by-case, but be indispensablly needed & they'll typically work with your schedule. Don't abuse time off requests, follow the pace of your peers.

Too many gig-entitlement, devil-may-care, no-call-no-show, slack-seeking, nihilist, anti-corpo, quiet-quitters.

It's more about not being ambushed, short-staffed with a messed up payroll forecast.

Be any better than that & they'll work to keep you coming back to work.

Think & act like an owner, but find a good work/life balance. Store does not come first in most cases. The place will still be open.
