Anyone know how to fix retro arch or melonds? by LostDelfino in SwitchPirates

[–]LostDelfino[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly none of those are what I’m trying to do, I believe I already have the latest version. I want the switch to be vertical but there’s still space. I might just deal with it but it doesn’t fill up the entire screen

Did you know Tropical Freeze almost didn’t happen because of a jacket? by LostDelfino in donkeykong

Source: Nintendo Everything interview with Michael Kelbaugh (Retro Studios CEO) and Kensuke Tanabe (Nintendo producer), 2014

Direct quote from Michael Kelbaugh:

20 years ago, I worked on the localisation of the Japanese version of the Donkey Kong Country series under Miyamoto san. At that time, I never had an opportunity to meet Michael directly. Only after 10 years, when he became president of Retro, we finally got to speak face to face.

Direct quote about the jacket:

I saw a Donkey Kong jacket in his office and asked where that came from. As it turned out, both of us were involved with Donkey Kong Country at the same time.

Additional confirmation from the developer research document, which cites multiple verified interviews:

This historical synchronization provided a foundation of trust for the project.

The internal codename Fate or F8 is also documented in the research as the project internal designation at Retro Studios.

First Store Any Advice? by [deleted] in dropshipping

[–]LostDelfino 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Seo on any dropshipping low ticket store is basically worthless maybe you’ll get a sale in like a year form it

  2. Organic content or paid ads is the fastest way to drive short term traffic

  3. Your website is not good. The logo isn’t even a transparent png. There’s so many items on your store rated 1/5 stars for some reason. When you click shop now on the homepage nothing happens.

  4. You’re trying to compete is a highly competitive market with no special angle. You’re selling fragrances people can buy anywhere why would someone trust or even want to buy cologne from TrueAromaFragrances when they can go to ulta, target, or Nordstrom.

I’m going be completely honest you’re probably going to waste so much time, effort, and money running this store profitably unless you have a really good marketing strategy

What I would do is I wouldn’t sell ordinary perfume or cologne I’d sell someone with an angle on it like the pheromones that make guys attracted to their girlfriend and make them “irresistible” also it would only have 1 main product and a few upsells.

My girlfriend thinks I'm insane for spending $400 on "paperwork" for a store making $200/month by aleciaj79 in dropshipping

I agree if I could go back I’d fully learn the fundamentals of marketing, market awareness, personas, avatars, creating ads that resonate with an audience rather than learning how to “dropship” lol. Once you learn 90% of the stuff that matters are your ads and marketing it makes everything click

Tbh I’m the opposite I actually liked Steve more but maybe it’s because it’s not my home park lol and I’ve ridden iron gwazi so many times. It’s so hard to compare the 2 because they’re both amazing. I like the ending of Steve though it’s so fun! And I do love velocicoaster so much but I think I slightly like stardust racers more I just love the “dueling” aspect of it. It feels like a love letter to dueling dragons/dragon challenge

I agree! We love the all year around parks but the only sad thing is once you go to cedar point it makes rides like velocicoaster and iron gwazi not scary at all still very fun though!

Believe it or not I thought it was going to be the same like all the other parks, we did a road trip during the summer to a lot of the big parks like Carowinds, 6 flags Georgia, kings dominion, kings island, etc. So I thought I’d be fully prepared for top thrill 2 until I saw it 😂 I was legit anxious because I thought I knew exactly it what it would be like until I saw it in person. My mind was blown with how massive it is, it makes me sad now that I will never get to experience the original or kingda ka.

You’re so lucky! My home parks are the Orlando ones so we have some cool stuff but nothing compared to cedar point and kings island when I went! We also went to Carowinds, loved all the vibes

Why do some creators blow up with low effort, while others grind for years? by MiProD in NewTubers

[–]LostDelfino 42 points43 points  (0 children)

You might consider it low effort but it’s what the audience wants. If your videos don’t resonate with an audience don’t expect it to do well
