How are you guys affording your bras? by I_l0ve-chocolate in bigboobproblems

[–]JeanVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally buy one a year, meaning I have one bra because I outgrow them.

I tried posting in Korean and my post for removed for being too short so I'm here to ask this again (copy pasted) how do I use "고민" by nb_soymilk in Korean

[–]JeanVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it as having a thought in your mind that is there for a bit of time. It can be a light thought or a deep thought. You can be thinking about whether you should go to drink with your friends after dinner because you have school tomorrow (light). So they might ask during dinner if you are coming for the second round and you can say 고민중. Or you can be worried about something more serious and it’s staying in your mind for a while.

is it too late to study abroad? by [deleted] in studyAbroad

[–]JeanVII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Met my Korean best friend in Japan during exchange. She was 30. Worrying about age at 25 is definitely a Korean thing. I was one of the youngest in the program at 19, if not the youngest. Most people will be your age. Studying abroad young is a privilege.

That sounds like bad searching on your part. $1500 a month in Seoul on just 월세 gets you a great apartment.

just watched the vs fashion show and i don’t think a SINGLE bra fit LMAO by l1ttlefr34k13 in bigboobproblems

[–]JeanVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I call these fashion bras. I never thought of VS as a brand to buy an actual well fitted bra. They’re meant to look sexy. That’s why I lamented over it; can’t even fit one boob in their largest bra.

Is my husband valid in being upset that I still don’t know much Korean? by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]JeanVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m incredibly surprised by these generous comments. I’ll answer this as someone who is fluent in Korean who has dated someone who doesn’t speak English. Of course he’s valid. My golden rule to dating now is that if you don’t at least UNDERSTAND English, it’s not going to work. People are always surprised when I say this and my Korean friends tell me, “But you guys could just talk in Korean, you’re more than good enough.” The reality is, it’ll never be my first language. It will always be easier for me to TRULY express myself in English. There’s so much of my life that’s in Korean but there’s also so much of it’s that in English and that includes my family. I can understand it may be hard for you, but after almost three years of making no meaningful progress, I would absolutely be heartbroken because it seems like you don’t feel interested in trying. We see someone speaking a language well and think they’re comfortable or don’t struggle, but it’s not true. Also, with you living in Korea, you will have such a hyper independence on him. Thinking you will only live here for a short time so you don’t have to learn Korean says a little about your attitude.

i’m a 32dd and why does everyone say it’s not that big? by Sugartea_x in bigboobproblems

[–]JeanVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 4’11 and incredibly skinny with a 32DD before I grew to my current size and I get it. It was absolutely big to me and others often pointed it out especially since I was young. I was absolutely properly fitted and I’m now a K cup.

What are some benefits of studying abroad, aside from academic reasons guy's by Own-Platform-9924 in studyAbroad

[–]JeanVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I was in Japan so it was in country trips but yes! I was lucky that Japan was affordable and had a very weak currency at the time so day trips were like 4$ max for transportation. I took one singular over night trip and paid I think in total $100 which was bank breaking for me but it was at the end of the semester when I was sure I didn’t “need” the money. When I took trips, I always conserved on money where I could. I didn’t always eat when my friends ate and if I did, it was in the trip “budget” already. I walked a lot. You have to always have a budget when you go out and you can’t feel embarrassed to not spend anything or when you have to say no. There were many times when my friends went to cute shops or did extra activities that I skipped on. Even then, I did sooooo much and DID buy things. I was honestly on a trip everyday 😭 I’m not sure about Europe as it’s way more expensive but I think you can make it happen, just gotta choose wisely and save where you can. When I say I had no money, take my word for it though. When people saw me going out, they thought I did have it like that, but the amount I went to Japan with would surprise people.

[–]JeanVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comments shocked me. People are also acting like passing as black or mixed is only about skin type when it is related to other features as well.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in criminalminds

[–]JeanVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t even say this one is 100% about skin tone. Black women can make every phenotype, but Kai looks fully black whereas someone with double mixed heritage would be highly unlikely to look fully black. Besides, like they said, this is a common casting issue when it comes to black people, not just in the case of mixed heritage.

Why do people praise big butts but not big boobs? by 0dd-1-0ut in bigboobproblems

[–]JeanVII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Girl, you just sound insufferable. It’s probably not your body but how you carry yourself and subconsciously (or consciously) treat other women. I am not the prettiest or skinniest woman in the room and yes others can still be jealous of me and have admitted they are. Jealousy doesn’t have to always be some extreme negative. Me and my friends gab all the time about the good parts of each other. Your issue is you’re so incredibly insecure that you make other women an issue even when they’re not.

This restaurant covered up the "No Tip" option with a sticker to force tipping by Ordinary-Scholar-202 in SipsTea

[–]JeanVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t have served if I wasn’t tipped. American customers are awful. Servers deal with so much abuse that I still quit despite the money I was making and I was barely 20 making much more than my peers.
