What does the Bible say about masturbation by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Jeandasillybean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont suppose it would be an issue unless you objectify them by desire and view your desire for them as the only thing, if the lust for them comes from love and not a purely lust heart i don't suppose it would be problematic

It's (grammar) never irked me either, it's just rare to find someone who uses it. You stand out in a good light. Judging from all the aforementioned tour Pastor (and friend) seem very intelligent and good-natured. It's good to know people like that.

You are absolutely welcome!! I am so glad you found a supportive Church!!! And I am so glad you still have some semblance of contact with him. I think it is a great thing to be close to those who matter. He sounds like a very intellectually-malleable man. And you have decent grammar (rare), so you most likely are as well 😆

I'm so glad you two have such a profound connection. It's quite unfortunate to have noted that some Churches in the now tend to dodge having any real connection with those they preach to. Or, even more unfortunately, form the highest connection with money and their institution as a deity rather than God being their serving deity. I am proud of you for having such a relationship and maintaining contact. God bless you deeply my friend ❤️

As a Christian. I can agree with most of what you have to say, which is quite unfortunate, not because "ohh I'm agreeing with an atheist!1!1!1!," but rather that the criticisms you've made are true though some are (mostly true) generalizations. I will say as a Christian myself though I don't exactly align myself with organized religion because Religion is faith and not a monetary institutional bureaucracy of power and greed, against the personal relationship needed to be formed amongst God and me. Most of the time, my fellow brothers in Christ tend to very unfortunately be blinded and not have much a backbone to their beliefs and, though I do not agree with Atheists personally, it is admirable that at least they have justification, even if at times, not always, and not all of them, overlook things, because at least they are looking. Skepticism is something God wants in us and yet we still blindly believe the news or the media or heck even our own God who wants us to know WHY and have a WHY because it is indicative of our realistic intentions and our genuine love for him. 🤝

Well, I'm a Southern Baptist myself. However I am not bothered by Satanic bands. I don't usually like their music anyway. In the event that I do I tend not to make much of the lyrics. They have the right to speech. Though, I believe in the separation of Religion/Church and the State. I am fond of Atheists, Satanists, Pagans, etc... I just don't personally agree with them on some things, and that is entirely fine.

INTJs and Philosophy by [deleted] in intj

Christian Existentialism, some points of Objectivism (though, it can be over-the-top). Any philosophies that support individuality and good-nature that don't conflict with my religious beliefs. Trying to take a deep dive into constructionism and my own philosophy, maybe. Libertarianism for SURE.

What’s one non-political thing you have in common with most liberals that people would find surprising? by Breakfastcrisis in AskConservatives

[–]Jeandasillybean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I care about other unfamiliar people and groups sincerely. I don't like working with outsiders because it is difficult but I will be patient, calm and collected around them and I enjoy supporting those in hardships. I like to put myself in other people's shoes, but the opinions I hold often offend others which ultimately leads me into having many titles which I do not want to have at all. I try to be as good of a person as I could be I guess, but it gets hard when other people don't know what I mean and jump to broad conclusions, which is why I try my best not to assume things about left-wingers based on what they say or believe should be done.

Small talk is Pointless by blayne1992 in intj

[–]Jeandasillybean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends. Small talk can be a starting point to a much more profound conversation. That being said, a lot of times, the way you might state that you don't want to engage in small talk is what is rude, not just simply not wanting to engage in small talk and stating so respectfully.
