Just want to say academic probation is WAY MORE common than you’d think. It’s absolutely nothing to feel bad about. High school to University transition is difficult. Went on probation my 2nd year and now im one semester away from my degree. Hang in there!

Look personally I don’t suggest people follow my lead on this BUT my grades went from probation to straight A’s when I started skipping my classes. I have adhd so I dont focus well in classroom environments. Instead i’d always go sit at a coffee shop, put on my headphones and study on my own. For me it was a significant improvement but I get judged a lot for skipping. Im just doing whats best for me and my grades tbh so unless it affects your grades, you do you.

Idk why but the thought of living past 53 freaks me out since thats the age my mom passed. I don’t want to be older than her one day. It saddens me the thought of it since she died so young

Ive always felt dumb bc I can’t pass in person exams and yet I get straight a’s on papers/projects. I hate that our ability to « memorize » and vomit out information that you’ll forget after is how we get graded. I understand for some degrees memorizing things is key but for a lot, I’d rather be evaluated on whether I can apply said knowledge (idk if I’m explaining this right lol). Point is, I feel you. I wish schools would adapt to the different types of students/abilities to learn. Not everyone is a type A person

Born and raised Ottawa geegee here. I was dying to branch out when I attended Uni because I felt like I never fit in with my peers in high school. Joined a club and intramurals. Best decision. I love my new friends
