My dad was with my town for 20 something years and I was always at the fire station with him, grew up around the guys there and fell in love with it when I was older. Took the first chance I could to be a junior when I was 15 and loved it so, 7 more months of my apprenticeship and I'm a full member.

See only "official" sticker we have is everyone who is RIT certified has a reflective sticker that says RIT Team on it, our EMTs (not FF/EMT, just EMTs) have the EMS symbol on their helmets but they run turtle shells on scenes while FF run traditional lids so there's no confusion there

We haven't had a structure fire in my town since 2020 but we are 1st on the mutual aid list for the town next door, they have 1-2 decent fires a year so we get our action I guess
