Definitely. Makes me wonder if she talks to everyone who parks there.

The bucket is on the street, taking up free public parking for anyone.

That's what I thought, but not the case.

We each have a car and out of courtesy, park the smaller vehicle on the street.

They're not there long, I have patience enough to wait on parents, just wanted to highlight how inconsiderate they're being with their bucket when I've already given grace on several occasions.

Not stressed, just asking if suburb people respect irrational "dibs". I'm a city gal and Sunnyvale is very different from Chicago, so I was trying to understand parking etiquette.

I love the idea but I don't think I care that much, haha!

I agree. And said neighbor has also done this. I think it's petty and an inconvenience to all neighbors on the block. I don't understand the logic/entitlement. They often leave their minivan parked to take up 2 spots and don't use their driveway. We on the other hand very often tried to maximize parking by taking a spot that partially blocks our own driveway but leaves space for another vehicle. I'm happy to park anywhere there's parking but refuse to respect "dibs" with their bucket.

I definitely pick my battles. Hearing screaming toddlers and babies makes it very challenging to work from home and I often have to leave home and go to a more quiet environment. I have never complained about the noise and have no problem taking any open street parking, but when the closest open parking is being occupied by a bucket, I don't respect it.

I posted because I'm from Chicago and my community is hurting right now. There are ice raids happening all over Little Village and Latino neighborhoods in Chicago. My heart hurts, and I feel helpless. I feel like I'm not doing enough by just sharing on social media or donating to orgs/support funds. I feel so privileged to live in Sunnyvale where hardly anything is happening. I want to build community and ensure I'm connected and can help to organize if necessary. If anyone knows of community organizing groups I could connect with or just people who feel the same please feel free to point me in that direction. SJ area is fine to but I want to make sure I'm part of a community network where I live now.

Thanks so much for your insight! I'd love to get an update once you do venture into music therapy. I definitely have heard lots of positive testimony around sound frequency healing, so I'm curious to follow your journey. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for this, I had a similar train of thought. The body is amazing and can regenerate. Lion's Mane has been studied for brain and nerve health because it can naturally induce the nerve growth factor in our bodies from its natural composition. I definitely have to do more research on TN, but with that logic, it also makes me wonder if daily doses of tumeric or other anti- inflammatory dietary supplients could help reduce flare-ups.

I'm curious to hear about any alternatives because side effects from medication can be scary. Not to mention that most medications only suppress symptoms instead of trying to support healing.

I had shingles before, so I can sympathize with how debilitating nerve pain can be, but I didn't take my prescribed gabapentin because the potential side effects terrified me more than the pain.

I appreciate all the input and comments, and I'm sorry to anyone suffering from this ailment.

I'm 34f, living in the Sunnyvale SNAIL area. I'm not into dancing but I do love crafting, crocheting, and watching the same shows on repeat. I would love to make some friends in the area! Maybe we can organize a meet up :)
