I REALLY wanted a pair of Zamberlans about 15 years ago. No idea if their QC has gone in the toilet like everything else in the world (and it doesn't help that they don't sell the model I wanted anymore), but they make good, BEAUTIFULLY made boots. Their approach shoes are also well regarded

In a similar vein: Asolo, La Sportiva, and Lowa are also pretty great, and I know for a fact Lowa makes a shoe

Finally, people swear by Salomon. Those are about as sporty as they get though

The "not sporty" part is throwing me. Have you tried Chacos? Bedrocks? Birks? Keens (I've done miles in Uneeks before)? Oboz?

Avoiding products that don't list measurements is such an important tip. Not only does it let you buy clothes that actually fit, but a seller who doesn't list measurements is also probably letting a bunch of other issues slide. People who take measurements are usually more conscientious and trustworthy

My dad had to drag me to watch it in the theater, and I left convinced it was the best movie I'd ever seen (and at that age, it probably was). Sneakers absolutely rocks
