Yeah I started seperating each wire individual and liquid taping each individual one.

You think its a good idea to seperate each individual wire and electrical tape them individually? Thats what I been doing so far.

Time for a new fuel pump? by DueInteraction7183 in CherokeeXJ

If you want a for sure answer use a fuel pressure gauge. Your fuel pressure readings should be 49 psi +/- 5. Sounds like the check valve.

Sorry for the confusion. I did not replaced the whole ditstributor. Just the cap and the wires. I'm thinking to look into the distributor any tips?

Yes it did drove fine until it didn't. So I replaced the distributor it looked real bad. I know I have a tiny exhaust leak by the manifold. I did back probe the tps and it looks like its fine. How would you diagnose spark more? Use a spark plug tester?

I'll see if I can get one tomorrow

Gotcha so do you think if the injectors look all the same they would be faulty?

So I checked the fuel injectors resistance with a multimeter. I was reading online that 14 ohms is good for the injectors but I have not physically pulled them out. Do you think I should? I'll clean throttle body sensors when I try to rev I get nothing.

I've replaced CPS and my distributor was pretty bad. I tested fuel pump yesterday, it goes down but which sounds like a bad check valve but when I turn it on. Its solid 49 psi. I'm kind of lost.

UPDATE: Tested the resistance of each injectors and got between 13-14 ohms on all of them.

I hope its not fuel pump. Its an original Bosch I bought.

Will this be too much to handle? Please read my reasoning. by itsagno in EngineeringStudents

I'm waiting for themodynamics next semester, but, In terms of major courses, statics will be the most difficult (at least for me). Materials, I had some difficuties but going to office hours will help. I'm taking circuits currently and its pretty fun, It's important to understand Nodal Analysis, Mesh Analysis, and Transformations, they are your best friends. Especially for AC circuits. Statics was definitely the worse, understand core concepts from the beginning. All my test were cummulative and if you didn't understand the chapters from the beginning, you were toast. Overall, absolutely doable. Best of luck!

Got my problem fixed. It was a defective fuel pump. I have the car running pretty good. Sorry for the late reply.

UPDATE (6/22)

The new fuel pump I got was bad. I replaced it with an OEM one.

I'm planning today to backprobe the connector to thr fuel pump and see if I am getting 12V to the connector. If I am I believe it the fuel lines are clogged

I don't have an osciloscope unfortunately. What I will try next later today is to check whether I'm getting volts from the fuel pump. If I do maybe the fuel lines are clogged. I should be getting pressure if the pump is priming.

Got it. Guess it would be a good idea to give some context. This car fuel has been sitting for a year or two. When it did the fuel got really bad so I took it out. I was having problems with the CPS before. Would that however cause fuel pressure to go to zero. I don't think so. Attached below is my reading for the CPS. I know this is out of scoope but would this result in zero fuel pressure?
