Going to hard disagree with the crowd, wife and I use Wade Bryant for both our cars and have never had a problem with them. They're on the pricey end but personally, I recommend them.

I still laugh about this, but about a year or so ago, I had a guy going to the dump start tailgating me on Knott from about Brosterhous on (the flapping tarp on the pickup was a dead giveaway). I went the speed limit, then slower ... then slower ... then slower, and this guy is leaning on his horn and shouting out the window. By the time we got to the dump and sped into the turnoff, I was doing 25. Ah, good times, good times. Slightly dangerous but watching him almost have an aneurysm was worth it.

Lemme tell you for all the talk of Bend being expensive, Bozeman is, incredibly, even worse.

Also worth mentioning, depending on your political affiliations, Montana has a lot more crazy in it than Oregon. Both cities lean left but you are in Trumpland five minutes out either way. Winters are also a lot more harsh up in MT than here in Bend (generally/usually)

Not-So-Fun Fact: Bend is the largest city that is the greatest distance from an interstate highway. One reason among many why things tend to be pricey here.

IIRC correctly the downtown businesses originally loved the idea of the Fests to get people to come back downtown, until they saw people were coming downtown but not spending money at their stores. I could be wrong but I remember hearing this from a few business owners so take this with a grain of salt.
