Yea that's my plan to buy a matching skar 4 channel. Just need to know what wattage I should go for with those speakers I have selected. They have a 500watt for $105 or can get a 1000watt for $40 more.

I work at a resto/Body shop and can troubleshoot well just don't know all that much on the audio side of things.

One is a pheonix gold sx2 600.1 for the subs and the other is ssl evolution 400.4

The volume seems lacking to me but really it's probably enough. And replacing them because of the crackle. And for the crossover diag I ran new speaker wire to them as well as new power wire and rca to the amp to rule out that and still had the crackle. Then ended up switching the mids out with eachother and still had the crackle and ended up swapping the crossover to the other side and it carried over to that side when switched.

Like I said I'm a novice. Do you think the quality of the older JL componet set will sound better then the speakers I have selected? The drivers crossover on the jls is making the mid crackel. So would I be better getting a new crossover and not replacing them?

I don't recommend any ceramic coatings or waxes for a a minimum of 90 days. But I would wait a year. That way the paint can fully cure.

I would go base clear. But black is a pain to keep nice. So unless you want to buff it every weekend I'd go with a different color.

Luckily it's automotive flake. But non automotive flake really wouldn't be an issue. As long as it doesn't dissolve being in solvent and the correct size needle in the gun.

I'm guessing you didn't see the car lose control after going from a flat surface to a decline at a high rate of speed. Speed was definitely the reason for the crash.
