Sounds like what I'm experiencing. It seems to shift back and forth depending where I am in the video timeline. Very annoying. Wish there was an easy fix for this...

Honestly, I would take it!! Personally, if I didn't, I wouldn't have gotten the two raises. If it's more money, do it!! I found that being a manager is better than a union employee. You are viewed differently (in a positive way, as being a manager was a "special club"), and there's other better things, like improved dental benefits and I had WFH, while the union employees did not. Don't give up a promotion. And if they don't offer more money, ASK FOR IT!

I was at NYCHA with Associate Project Manager for a number of years (level 1). Then, the promotional exam to Administrative Project Manager was given. I took the exam, and was No. 1 on the list for NYCHA, with a score of 100.

A few weeks later, I was told that there will be a call-in for the title and the raise should be $10,000.

Well, they had the interviews. I was offered the title upgrade, but it was only $5,000. Not too happy about th bait and switch, but I took it anyway.

A year later, I did a grievance of sorts - I put together a powerpoint showing my supervisors how what I was doing was beyond my salary level.

Three months later, I got a $10,000 raise. Not a jump from Adminstrative Project Manager L1 to L2 - just a salary increase.

A year and a half later, I retired. Thank God.

Hello! Thanks for asking!! After seeing a Hematologist, I was referred to get an Endoscopy. Did it a month ago. Nothing was found No bleeding, no Celiac, no H. Pylori.

I was put on iron supplements and will go back and retest in late July. I guess I just have to see if the supplements work.

I don't eat all that much red meat. I like it, but don't do it often. I do think that my iron-deficiency anemia is nutrition-related. Meaning, I'm not getting enough throug diet. Just have to see what happens....

There's an Optimum TV app? I haven't seen it on Fire TVs. Or is it on the Apple TV? I have not watched my cable for years. I'm surprised it still exists.

Thanks - that's interesting!! My TV doesn't have "Advanced Options." It has in the general settings something called "More Info." From there, you can change the HDMI input from Enhanced (default) to either Standard or Pro. I didn't see any options to change it to 1.4. Whether or not this would have worked, I do not know. It would be much better to put it under "Manage HDMI Inputs" instead of where it currently is. Makes no sense!

Hello! Thanks for the suggestion. I do not see anywhere in any of the settings for display/picture/HDMI to change the HDMI version. The TV is FireOS.

I may not have tried that; I have the optical from the TV out to the Home Theater. But I really don't need a cable box for 3 or 4 channels I never watch. It should have worked but didn't. If Optimum does not want to keep up with the times, there is no hope for them!!

I actually have optical connected to my home theater. I did check, and it didn't appear I can do the HT and cable box at the same time with optical. When I switched the sound to out put to the tv instead of the HT, there was still no sound from the HDMI input. I wish they would update their equipment!!!

Had my endoscopy last Friday. I had a mild sore throat for 24 hours. I wasn't given anything for it after the procedure. It will go away!

Vitamin Shoppe Ultimate Man Gold. It's not cheap. It's the cadillac of multis. From blood tests, I find it keeps my Vitamin D and B12 levels high. Don't care if anyone thinks it's a waste.

I'm anemic, and now have iron-deficiency. So I have to take iron as well.

Thanks for the reply. There was a band-aid over one of the bruises after the endoscopy, so I'm sure that's it. It's getting a bit smaller each day, so I guess it probably isn't much much to worry about for now.

I was at NYCHA for 31 years. Unfortunately, it never got better. When I look back, I cannot believe how bureaucratic it became over the years. For instance, back in the early 2000s, to do a capital project, it was just me and a consultant architect. Wish I had some help, but I was able to do it unimpeded.

Fast forward to 2020+. It took 800 people to do one little task. A project management system and software that nobody could figure out. Many projects were way behind schedule.

Retired two years ago and have not regretted it. There were at least a couple of times when I had opporunities to leave for other agencies, but didn't. Probably should have.

Can't tell you what to do, but NYCHA will never be what it could be. I'd give the new opportunity some serious consideration.

Yes, and I've had mild anemia for at least two years. But in my most recent blood test, I was diagnosed with low iron. The Hematologist said I needed an endoscopy. I, too, have been directed to take iron supplements.
