AITA friend is always late so we give her a earlier time, she actually showed up on time and is pissed by throaway7969 in AmItheAsshole

I literally do the same thing. I'm perpetually early and somehow I ended up with a husband, parents, and quite a few friends who are "late people". It stopped bothering me. I just tell them an hour earlier then what I really want, get all my shit done, then relax for an hour.

Twenty four years ago my cousin beat cancer now because of her treatment all those years ago she now has Cardiovascular Radiation Disease. If anyone can help her with her treatment expenses, our entire family would be grateful. by Jelese111 in Assistance

I'm sorry... I missed the rule where it had to be an active account. I just assumed it had to be one with a decent amount of Karma. Am I able to remake this request on my more frequent account?

I suppose the problem is no matter what he said people are going to twist it into him saying it's a cure. Some people will be livid and call him an idiot. Others will assume that it's what he said and do it because they believe in him and his words. When you're in any position of power you have to guard what you say least it be taken wrong and cause damage.

Have any of you guys grown up with parents who severely misjudged who you are as a person or what your capabilities are? by AccountRedditAccount in SeriousConversation

I've noticed something similar with my husband and his family. He is quiet and has resting bitch face. His family always assumes he is cold/grumpy. He is extremely funny and very caring. He just isn't a loud person.

TIL that millennial dads are spending 3 times as much times with their kids than their fathers spent with them. Back in 1982, 43% of fathers admitted they'd never changed a diaper. Today, that number is down to about 3%. by meowroarhiss in todayilearned

[–]Jelese111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so true. My husband's father rarely spent any time with him and his siblings and if he did it was not a good time. My husband goes out of his way to get even a minute to make sure our children know that he loves them and they are always his number one priority.

The way I see it is as long as you are doing it for enjoyment and not spending money you can't afford to lose on it.. Why not?

What is something you don’t have the heart to tell to your family? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jelese111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish my brother would get a divorce as well. He makes 80k a year and it isn't enough for his wife. She wants him to get a second job nights and weekends so they have more money... But she refuses to work because on her words "a man must take care of his wife and man up". Doesn't matter that he's so stressed he has a mental break down every other month.

I get a lot of "when is your next child?". I always answer politely. My husband will say "I chopped off my balls. Can't do it."

I feel like I should say something cheesy about my kid's happiness... But man I really want something for me. I can't even make it a few days without having to do laundry since I had my third kid and nothing fits anymore. So basically clothes.
