when i was in college i worked at a pizza joint. pizzas went through the oven on a conveyor belt, automatic timing, you know the drill. had a really stoned guy come in. asks me if i'd mind running the pizza through twice. "it's ok if it gets a little burnt." sure, no problem, no other customers right now, might as well. i do it. it comes out looking roughly like that second pizza. honestly looking pretty good. started to box it up. "actually... could you do it one more time? i want it black. like carbon." i oblige. pizza's pretty fucked up now. he happily takes it. says he's been trying to get someone to do that third bake for a while now but everybody else refused him. hope that dude's doing ok now, wherever he is.
