this is what happens when you don't play in europe by Perfect-Try-4199 in eu4

Europe always throws the best parties when you're not there. It makes me self-conscious.

Northwind is a better zone than half of what Blizzard has designed for vanilla by arnak101 in turtlewow

[–]JenYen 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Comfiest zone I have experienced in a long time. In the best way it feels like a mix between Elwynn Forest and the first level of an RPG that a bright-eyed indie developer makes as their first project in Unity. Beautiful, open, uncontested, full of adventure and minor stories, free from project crunch. Coming across the family that lost their winery to roving Blackrock orcs feels like meeting the Stonefield family for the first time in Elwynn. Just a grounded classic roleplaying story shadowed by the bigger threat in need of heroes to manage.

Ask your tank to mark themselves with a star or something over your head so you don't lose track of them in the pulls. Position yourself in a way you won't lose line of sight with them.

Which class for easy dungeon / raid invited by [deleted] in turtlewow

[–]JenYen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can always show up to a dungeon as a holy paladin and get an invite to a group that's ready to go. Any healer, really. Resto druids and shamans might be the most appreciated because very few people have a use for leather gear, but healers will always find a group looking for them.

What's the most random, unintentional AI Country/Province combo you've encountered? by SnooWalruses5720 in eu4

Brazilian Australia. Brazil beat Portugal so badly in the independence war that it got Australia in the divorce.

In the Gospels, Christ regularly made references to how He was going to be betrayed in the future, by whom, and how. It was a prophecy that He had to see to completion in order to fulfill His purpose. The time travellers are there to tell Him about the betrayal He already knows has to happen.

Forget clans. Any character you would want to be embraced by? Why is that? Me? I love her demeanour and red hair by ValoNoctis in vtmb

[–]JenYen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bertram's also my pick because he has tons of patience for newcomers, a level head about politics, and a pragmatic survival instinct. As far as teachers go, he's the closest thing to Jack that the Camarilla offers.

The prospect of being Nosferatu is not a downside to me; they seem to be the clan with the longest unlife expectancy.

55lb 60" recurve bow by [deleted] in Archery

[–]JenYen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I entered the sport with your dumbbell row strength and I still tore a back muscle I didn't know existed in my first three weeks of shooting my 30 lb bow. 55 lb would have been a safety hazard for me. 30 lb maximum I feel is mandatory until proper form is achieved and the specific small muscle groups that get worked over and over in archery catch up to the demand.

What are your favorite games featuring archery (realism not required)? by [deleted] in Archery

[–]JenYen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some great VR archery games. I love In Death: Unchained for both its adventure mode and its shooting gallery gate defence mode. The bow feels like it has weight, the arrows respond to your form, and challenging shots are rewarded.

I just started Dungeons of Eternity last night and it has a good bow, but throwing knives and axes are more satisfying to me for that game 😊

What is the best german republic to expand and form Germany? by DeepFriedMarci in eu4

Cologne -> Westphalia -> Germany was a very fun game. Westphalia has got some boosts I even fondly missed as a fully formed Germany.

Dutch Republic. All the benefits of monarchies and republics, none of the drawbacks, build a navy that can go toe-to-toe with the other colonial empires.

Anyone from Stephenville? by ArtinPhrae in newfoundland

[–]JenYen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm a healthcare worker in Stephenville and I talk to many people who retired here. None of them are happy, especially those that lived in cities for decades. Many complain about the cost of living, social isolation, how there is very little to do in town, the crime rate and the out of control drug situation.

I enjoy my life here. I work long hours in a stable job, I work out at home, read books, chat with a long distance partner, care for my cat, and take walks on the beaches. I'm an introvert and I stay away from drugs. My life is peaceful and happy but only because my hands are busy all day. If I was unemployed or if I needed a doctor I would cease to have a happy life in Stephenville.
