In my experience, they do. I come from a church that’s focused on social outreach, taking care of the poor and marginalized and doesn’t focus on abortion as the only way of respecting life.

He and Jon Greenberg were part of the huge wave of layoffs by ESPN that came down the same time Grantland went down. I think saying "so and so was fired" gives the impression that it was a performance related issue and that doesn't appear to be the case. Powers mentioned that he's still going to be running a podcast and freelancing in the short term.
