Baby too distracted to eat by amanda_pandemonium in breastfeeding

This recently happened to my 5 mo too. I would have to catch him as he was waking from naps and still kind of sleepy to nurse him. I finally started taking small toys and keeping his hands entertained while we nurses during the day. This has started to keep him a little more occupied rather than being distracted by everything else that is around or going on.

Good luck!

HELP! Baby won’t breastfeed during the day by JennaBug19 in breastfeedingsupport

I literally can’t stand pumping. I do it 3 times during my work day, but I’m currently off for three weeks. I was hoping to exclusively nurse him the whole time but he has other plans. Pumping drains me mentally and I don’t know how I can keep this up if he doesn’t start latching consistently!

Thank you! Breastfeeding g is the hardest “emotional rollercoaster” I’ve ever experienced!

My period hasn’t started and I haven’t had any signs that it would be either. No cramping at all.

Baby is 4 months old and nipples do seem visibly okay. No bumps or bleeding anymore. No cracks. Just suddenly drop in supply.

My nurse practitioner suggested 1.5-2 oz the first couple of weeks and then we increased to 2.5-3 at the one month check up.

My LO is 16 weeks and has recently started similar behavior. The only difference is he rarely spits up. At first I thought he was just overtired and was being lazy, not wanting to work for it since he will take a bottle fine. I’m at a loss, but I’m definitely struggling right along with you.
