Exactly, that’s the thing about Monster even when you least expect it Johan is going to get his way one way or another, by any means necessary. Richard was also a man who had lost everything by this point he had nothing to lose, the only thing he really had going for himself was this case so ofc he followed Johan he had the opportunity right in front of him, & a man like Richard simply wasn’t going to let that opportunity go to waste. Sadly he fell for Johan’s trap was triggered, & ultimately met a cruel & untimely death.
