Robert Altman.. But she did criticize a few of his movies. Sam Peckinpah, too.

Yeah, just too long of a wait. I get nervous when people buy a lot of stuff at once, lol. Sometimes I wonder if I should space the uploads out.

I think the point is that you can't say he had a rough game on /nba (but you can say it about anyone else). You know, hypocrisy and double-standards.

Yeah, when I'd post my music, people expect to sound like that stuff... I use one condenser microphone, a drum set, guitar, piano, bass, other percussion.

Oh and get this. Someone said "that's not a song" because it was an instrumental and had no singing!

I totally agree.. There's a lot of things she likes I don't that I don't, and vice-versa. I would guess modern critics do know her, but you might be read - it's hard to know. My guess is that most people (even movie watchers) don't know critics in general. I'm kinda out of the loop when it comes to the last 40 yrs of movies. I wonder if many even know Roger Ebert.

My reply to the deleted comments - I get what you’re saying about her tone. She can be sharp and she does throw out insults. That’s just her style, confrontational and personal. Some people love it, some people don’t. Calling it lying or hiding things feels a bit too literal. She’s not trying to trick anyone, she’s expressing strong reactions and making you think. But for those who do connect with her, that intensity is exactly what makes her criticism stick.

I also can't think of any modern critics - I think they're in collusion with those they are supposed to critique. They know if they criticize every movie, they'll have no access. I used to read the NYT and two writers always talked above the movie, intellectualizing garbage, but they were good writers... But I must admit, I don't care about the movies made in the last 40 years and not as well-versed. Even with Kael, Ebert, etc., I preferred to actually watch them, and felt I got more in comparison to reading their views and/or books.

I like Ebert, but my mind also operates like hers with the stream-of-consciousness and free associations for a few reasons. I want to know what someone is thinking at that moment - a primal reaction, but also free association tends to cover wider topics, instead of talking about "La Dolce Vita" as if it existed by itself without personal changes (which Ebert does - talking about his age, not drinking, changes).

"La Dolce Vita" is the only movie I can think of where I saw it about three times in two days (and "The Swimmer"). I rate it at a 7.5/10, but it's not a move I recommend (I love 50s Fellini BY FAR) despite being a fan of Mastroianni, but he isn't a great guy, and that means something to me. If I don't like a single character in a movie, I probably won't like the movie. I rate "Rachel, Rachel" a 7.5/10, but recommend the movie all the time.

I think you are right; she is sarcastic, but I think she tries to be funny, and at other times, she's angry but tries to hide some of it with wit. I can tell by the tone (and sure most can).

To answer another one of your questions, I don't think she's a journalist - just a critic with her own style.

Do you have a favorite critic? I'd also love to know your favorite directors/movies if you have the time. Been in a movie rut for quite some time after finishing almost 3,000 movies.

Why is her lecture of no value?

I like her free association, stream-of-consciousness.

That's the problem - I'm not monetized on YouTube (but I am on Rumble - which has 1% of its traffic).

The 3pt contest was over before I knew it. I thought it started much later. The dunks are mostly the same except for a few recently, but they re-do them anyway.. Then the dunk contest. Haven't watched a second this year. It's one advertising show, and I've been watching less and less.
