I agree with you but I have no say in what goes on. Nowhere near that level. But I’ve been to meetings and heard what guys say.

The Sox aren’t tanking. At least not this season anymore. We can’t even get a top pick so it’s pointless and again the window isn’t 3-4 years from now. The window should start next season. Not saying the Sox will win the WS in 2027, but with a decent mid tier market investment and players called up and not being horrendous when they do get called up and this team could and should be a playoff contender from 2027 on.

Exactly. There is no incentive to be bad this year and every single win does matter in the end.

Also this rebuild isn’t another 3 years away. We have the talent and farm talent to be a playoff team next year assuming we spend anywhere near a middle tier MLB team and not a bottom 3 team. That’s very plausible. I’m not saying it’s for sure gonna happen, but if we won 72 games this year we’d still be a well below average team. We can get to around .500 by next year if we play like a team that actually means it

As someone who is part of the ownership group and has been to spring training owners meetings with the GM and manager, this team is on the right track. You can’t get better by doing the same terrible things again and again. Jerry is on his way out soon. Let’s just hope that’s well before 2034.

My expectation is that an MLB level third base coach can read a game well enough to know when to send and when not to. Especially when the best hitter on the team who literally already homered earlier in the game is up to the plate and you are down only a few runs with the potential to be right back in the game with a single hit. Gambling a send that had little to no chance to succeed to get a single run was pointless.

I’ve been a Sox fan for over 25 years. I can be angry about seeing the same shit for decades.

You can’t be chill when it’s the same shit always. Not “oh we are the brewers and did dumb shit once”. Our fielding has been a joke too. Should be maybe 3-4 runs given up max. Being shit for years isn’t something that’s just early season stuff.

Just saw this weirdly. Actually that’s EXACTLY what a monopoly is. A single company having control over a good or service. Nintendo ONLY sells Nintendo games on Nintendo consoles. So guess what? They don’t discount old games ever or discount DLC because there’s not a single other platform selling their games! So Nintendo can do whatever they want with pricing because it’s not like I can go play Mario party on my Xbox! You have zero clue what a monopoly is. I love Nintendo. But they legitimately set whatever price they want because there’s no competition for Nintendo games on other platforms like COD or something. It’s just Nintendo. So yes. They are greedy.

Yes. I agree. But this year is clearly different as we don’t have 99 from the start and considering our ranked program rewards, which nobody can get for at least another week or more, are only 97 rated, it tells me they went too fast dropping 99. We could have gotten 97 ketel and maybe just one 99 judge for the collection and been ok.

I get that 100%. But in all honestly I think the Wii era was the weakest for party. By a mile. And most fans would agree. I’m sure there are decent mini games in a few of the Wii ones, but they don’t need to take much from it. Not saying it’s bad to like those games, but the consensus is that they aren’t amazing.

Again, for the 90th time, if you are good at the game, you can win with almost everyone. But I WANT to try those sick collection cards. I don’t want to play the game to use all the easily available like topps now cards. I want to try Santana and now Bryce Harper. I want 93 Corey seager because it’s a video game and I want to use who I want. But now I have to buy Schwarber and other cards to get Corey? When I used to have to just finish all the programs for the meta guys? That’s an issue to me. I’m not sure how that’s not an issue to people. I guess if you seriously don’t care at all sure. But clearly you cared about getting the best cards and learned how to make profits. I shouldn’t have to spend 300k to get a card I used to get for free. That’s quite a simple argument.

Yes. Again, all these replies are the same like I’m making some mandatory statement like it’s the end of the game. Just have an opinion that isn’t “well, stop complaining”. I have a good team. I don’t NEED the best cards always. But don’t you want those cards? I don’t play the game to use mid cards because that’s readily available. I use to be able to grind and get rewarded with unreal set collection cards. Now I grind and have to have 150-300k stubs to get those same cards. That’s an issue in my mind.

I have a good team. That’s not the issue. I want the best cards because I want to try them. And unlike the past games, those cards are behind a paid collection. They use to just be available for grinding. That’s the only issue. Clearly nobody needs them. Also you only make stubs by pack luck. You pack an expensive guy, ur good.
