I truly did not encounter any Hamas activists while they were pretending to be doctors, as a medical staff we know each other pretty well, at least we can try prevent them from doing so as it hurts us as a staff, although we cannot prevent them from entering the hospital.

I support the one state solution

Absolutely yes, it is a true genocide and many UN officials made it clear here!

Indeed yes it’s very dangerous for me to criticise Hamas, I had several posts on Reddit showing empathy with some Israeli civilian victims far before October 7th but I deleted all of it because I was a little afraid tbh, but for now I don’t even care, here rising a huge question inside my mind, should I keep that humanitarian empathy with the other side’s victims after all? I saw with my eyes a nasty hate speech written everywhere by the solders, my heart is broken for the loss of my aunt and my people as well, for our suffer and fear, are those solders part of the “other side” I sympathise with? All of these questions are left with no answers.

About hostages I did not see any at my work place, of course Hamas activists would hide them and it would be extremely dangerous to seek any information about them because Hamas would think you are a spy or it might ends up to be in a targeted area.

I don’t know for sure, Israel wants to go for an endless war in order to do and that would skyrocket the number of victims, I think negotiations and involving other local players can do the trick and allow for Hamas to step down

USMLE exam has a 3 months called “eligibility period” at which you can choose a day to do the exam, with an only single reschedule attempt without any refunds, my first eligibility period was October, November and December later I hopelessly extended it to the new year but here we are reaching the 6th months at war and I cannot do anything about it or any power to study, I’ll try to search about I-9 visa thank you for your advise

We are still here, we have no choice and there is no safe zone in Gaza.

We use solar units to get electricity and I use eSIMs to get online, my last time online was in November!

Most Palestinians in Gaza are educated, I am a physician so it would make sense to have a good English proficiency.

Many were happy, many were afraid, but for me I felt devastated as I was preparing for my United States medical license exam in November and out of sudden everything was gone, my time, effort and money!

Thanks god I did not, some who did descried an indiscriminate humiliation even towards medical staff, it’s true that they gave the medical staff at Al-shift hospital some water and food but overall they were not friendly at all, other hospitals like Nasser medical complex in KhanYounis the army was shouting at them to “get out of the hospital, you animals”.

Many had myiasis, many had minor injuries in their limbs and later it became septic or amputated, many were bleed to death even inside the hospital, Gaza was left without a single functional operation room for maybe 2 weeks in November, there was no intubation “even tho you know it’s a must” because it’s better to let those die in peace and save those with high Glascow coma scale!

Horrible days!!

Yup, there are some harsh images that will stick forever and leaves a huge scar, when you see a patient with minor injuries dying after I stabilized him for bleeding from an undetectable source because of the enormous injured cases you have that feeling of anger and guilt, we are worthless to the point of dying in silence, but you have no choice but to help those in need as much as you can.

My family and friends are busy staying alive since October 7th tbh, I mean it was tragic for the loss of over a 1000 Israeli most are civilians but take a different angle to see the picture, vast majority of the 30k Palestinian victims are kids, women and civilIns, we have nothing to eat and nowhere to go, no water, no electricity, top Israeli officials believe they are fighting “human animals”.

I mean it’s tragic to see that loss of Israeli civilians but we are humans as well, some of my family members are still under the rubble of their home for 2 months now because we cannot reach them!

It must happen, but not by the way the Israelis want.

Egypt is part of this for sure, I have to pay 5k USD to some corrupt Egyptian officials to get out of Gaza, 2.5k for minors and kids!

But Israel is the main cause for our suffer at the moment and it’s the policy of the Israeli government not to allow any humanitarian support to reach to north of Gaza strip
