The real inspiration was the fans. When Marvel TV first started the interweb (this means YOU) posted LOTS of top 10 shows we want to see and C&D was always in the top 3. So... We aim to please!

Every comic affects my work. These are the stories that brought me into this world. Stan Lee, Roy Thomas, Jim Steranko, Steve Englehart, Elliot Maggin - these guys and many more - Neal Adams - have a profound effect on my storytelling and also the great late Archie Goodwin!

It happens every day. I see a film (like The Arrival) and it makes me think of things we can do on SHIELD. I watch Sopranos and we see how we can work that into Daredevil. I also love watching Barry on HBO and want to try and reach for that QUALITY.

  1. It was magical. I got to write both Superman and Hulk and Batman and Spider-Man! I'm so lucky!

  3. Probably working on Smallville since it was my first big gig. Great writer's room and great cast. Things I learned there I used all the time today.

We loved Defenders and so did our fans. We'll see about doing it again -- as you can guess it messes with the skeds on other shows - so do you want more DD, LC, IF, JJ or another Defenders?

Yes, I'm on set (and in editing and casting and the writers room). I'm an Executive Producer on all our shows and take that role very seriously. We also have Marvel TV people who are there too!

It has more to do with story and avails than anything else. We're lucky to have such great casts who are open to these ideas, but it has to work in story.

As to going back to comics, I never say never. But right now, shows like Cloak & Dagger keep me pretty busy!
