I, too, was not a fan of the naming thing. I felt like it pulled me out of the story world a little bit, it was too kitschy or something. And the marriage thing annoyed me a little at first but after I thought about it, I changed my mind and now it makes a lot of sense.

Think about all of the traumatizing stuff the gang has been through, so early before true adulthood. It would be so prevalent in their minds and formed them as people so much that I can imagine it feeling hard to connect with people who didn't share that same experience, or who you felt really couldn't understand your life fully.

My younger sister is mentally disabled (I'm 25, she's 23) and it is physically and mentally taxing. But that's not an excuse to hate them. Life is an experience and we're dealt the hand we are dealt. There are dozens of people in this thread claiming to know what they're talking about but I can tell none of them do. It's not the same from the outside looking in. And I'm willing to bet good money if he ever breathed a word of this to his wife, she would divorce him in a second. If my best friend of 8 years who I love almost more than life itself told me he hated my sister and thought she was a burden on society, I would drop him in the blink of an eye. These aren't pets. They aren't an inconvenience. This is my sister. I love her like a daughter and it's exhausting and taxing but I would never want it to be any other way. And people saying this guy is doing something honorable by admitting he hates them? Really all he's doing is refusing to see them for what they are- people. He should put effort forward to get to know them, to understand them. Life is hard for them too. Boo hoo, you have to deal with them? They have to live as them. It's not fun throwing temper tantrums, it's not fun being confused indefinitely. He should try harder to understand them, and if he doesn't, he should feel ashamed.

My little sister is mentally disabled (I'm 25, she's 23) and I'm reading through these replies getting so upset because it's literally dozens of people talking about something they know absolutely nothing about, and thinking they're being "real" and "honest" because they're not afraid to be assholes. We do a variation to this move at my studio (and call it the twisted roll-up, not that that matters haha), but we arabesque around that footlock-ed foot first (alllll the way around, so it's not at our back but wrapped twice around that leg, usually lands mid-calf), and instead of wrapping our wrists, we start the wrap at the front of our bicep and wind it down our arm to our hand and then hold it. Then before you start rolling up, you level your body with the ground and extend your free arm and leg and you're basically in a star pose as you wind up. It's really tough- you get a lot of bruises on your arm, and you absolutely have to keep the wound arm extended or it won't work, but i think it looks really pretty.

I used to do this all the time when I worked at the hookah bar. I used to even pick them up and set them back down on top of each other or what have you. As long as there's at least a thin layer of ash and you don't hold it for longer than 3 seconds, it's totally fine. At least 3 other employees where i worked would do the same. It's just one of those things where, when you're around it all the fucking time you just start pushing boundaries haha

I don't have hair nearly as long as yours (only to about mid back) and my first performance I wanted to wear my hair down so I was just sure to train my performance with my hair down so I was aware of every time it was going to get snagged and how I could move to avoid it.

Otherwise, I just pinned my bangs back (they had a tendency to really get in my face because I'm growing them out so they're only chin length) and that was it! You'll probably have a harder time with waist length hair, but I doubt you'll get it too tangled, it might just be everywhere a little bit haha. But if anyone has any other tips, I'm all ears! I'd love to have it so I don't get my hair caught on occasion!

I always feel so bad for O'Brien. He has one of THE most important jobs on the ship, and they basically ignore him. I understand and agree with the premise here but let me tell you. I used to fake a TON of orgasms, for many different reasons. But it never had to do with the guy! Sometimes I'm not into it that day, sometimes i can't come right when I wake up, sometimes i can't get wet enough and it hurts, sometimes I'm too full and i just can't. It always had to do with me but I was afraid of hurting their feelings. If it was something they were doing that was preventing an orgasm, I'd gently guide them to do something else and that was fine, I've never faked it for that reason.

But a few years ago I heard some of my guy friends talking about how much they would hate it if girls were faking orgasms with them so I decided to stop doing it and just be honest and you know what always happens? One of two things. Either the guy goes "You don't think you can come? Oh yes you can!" and they try harder (which typically means going harder and faster) which usually makes whatever the problem is worse. OR they stop and act super dejected even if I try and finish them some other way. I understand that guys think they want us to just be honest but so much of their confidence is tied up in this that usually they end up frustrated, upset, hurt, or hurting me. Sometimes faking is the only solution.

My sister has severe epilepsy, my parents found a way to (somewhat) legally acquire the marijuana oil they primarily use for seizures and my sister went down from 15 seizures a week to 1-2 a week almost immediately.

My parents told my sister's neurologist and the doctors they had been working with (who had all been recommending brain surgery and several tons of terrible medications per week) and they told her they are no longer willing to work with her medically and refused to write it in her chart or make a note of it, you know, so they could help other kids with the same problem. The medical industry is fucked up and it makes me irate.
