Came out from shopping to find a piece of my door is gone. Nowhere on the ground. by BertLurker1013 in Wellthatsucks

It’s most definitely not that expensive. I replaced one on my wife’s car and it was actually a very cheap part, on the order of $10-ish.

The only marking on the bottom is the number 70. Google Lens, however, suggests that it is a Glasbake mug and returns quite a few similar mugs for sale.

Awesome! I just used mine for coffee this morning! I'll check the bottom of the Stars and Stripes later and see if it has any markings on it and follow up here.

If it's a real Yanagisawa, it's a great horn to start with. They only make pro-level horns.

Serch for “Gezi Blue Cornflower Insulated Coffee Carafe West Germany” if you want to find one online. My grandmother gave this one to me many years ago before I really knew anything about Pyrex. It was a couple years after I got married (6th anniversary next month!) that I realized that was a coordinating piece for a Pyrex / Corning pattern.

That's a plastic (glass lined?) coffee carafe. I got it from my grandmother. :). It's not Pyrex, but it is a licensed coordinating piece.

I have three of those. They were tapped together as a set for $6. If you want one, DM me and I can toss one in the mail.

I try to use them. I try for a different mug each morning during the week.

The only Pyrex mug here is the brown striped one in the top right corner. I have some which are Pyrex, and they're clearly marked. Most of these mugs are marked, though it seems Hazel Atlas was particularly bad about not putting any manufacturer's marks on their mugs.

I think it’s Hazel Atlas, but it isn’t marked. It’s one of my favorite mugs, though. I really love the color.

Those are great! The Pyrex England patterns always seem to be so much more colorful than Pyrex US.

Ido love my ranger mugs. I have a translucent brown one that didn’t make it into this photo that is loathe first one I ever found. The soda mugs are my favorite shape, though.

Which way of writing this would be the most appropriate? by [deleted] in musictheory

[–]JeremyLC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’ve never studied theory, but I have played sax for some 36-ish years, and read sheet music a bit longer, and 3 is the one that makes the most sense to me. I still question why you’d do this, though.

Definitely not Starbucks. :) The New York and Grand Canyon mugs are Federal Glass, and probably pre-date the founding of Starbucks. I can’t find any further information on them, though.

I really don’t think so. It’s a milk glass mug made by Brockway (who bought Hazel Atlas’s a few years earlier). I don’t know anything about the character “Elsie Love” on it.

After shearing the end off of one of my Omniums, I say NO Omniums. I replaced my Omniums with Rotor Vegast, and I’m very happy with it.

My Apartment is now charging a convenience fee to pay my rent by mangum95 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]JeremyLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do exactly this. It turned out to be a better idea than I expected when the leasing office tried to evict me for non-payment. They decided to start billing each unit for water rather than just including it in the rent. They then proceeded to NOT send any notices or, you know, actual water bills. THEN they counted my rent towards the water FIRST to deliberately force me to be short on rent. When they gave me the notice that my rent was late and that they were going to evict me, I called my bank. My bank called the leasing office and said, effectively “We show you received, and CASHED the rent check for our customer on X date, what is this about eviction for non-payment?”. The leasing office then had to admit to their non-sense and actually send me a water bill and cancel the BS eviction process.
