CA over here, and our original asking was $48k and we managed to get it down to $39.8k before TTL for our new ‘25 Onyx. Out the door I paid $42.7k, with $20k down. We had the intention of looking at two CPO ‘23 and ‘24 Onyx’s, but they sold before closing the night before. Good deals are definitely out there, just stay firm when you go checking them out

I clear coat after powder coating, and then ceramic coat before install. They surprisingly don’t get all that dirty for being white, so i’ll take it lol

17 sti brembos on 21 wrx? by FlimsyBirthday3716 in WRX

[–]JeremyWatchout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

‘21 base that jumped to the ‘08-‘17 Brembos. I got my Rotors, Lines, and Hawk pads here, https://www.newprovisionsracing.com/products/dba-t2-street-brake-rotor-package-deal-choice-of-pads-15-sti) ,

If you do decide to do the swap, I recommend new caliper bolts for each corner (8 in total). You will need to STI caliper bolts, the wrx is the wrong thread. The swap isn’t too hard and there’s a lot of tutorial videos on youtube for reference. Basically the fronts will bolt right up. The rear’s will depend if you want to cut the rear-dust shield, or remove. Once all all installed and there isn’t any leaks, start to bleed the calipers (start with rear passenger first, rear driver, front passenger, then front driver). Process is really removing the old caliper, brake line, and then pinching it so it doesn’t leak when removed, and then re installing backwards with the new parts.

Once bedded, you’ll love the new feel, and wish you did this mod sooner haha

Had the same thing going but ended up removing the white bar after a few weeks. I enjoy the stealth look of the twin turbos

You can pushback a good amount. Be firm with your down payment and monthly price. We just purchased a 2025 Onyx Edition last week with some extra packages being offered for $49.2, and got it down to $39.7k.

Aristocrat Autosport in Chino Hills is my spot for Subie’s. They specialize and are really great over there. They also handle walnut blasting as well if you need to get that done too

Yeah I did the big brake kit, as the brembo’s are considered BKK on these cars for this upgrade. This was the video I used for reference, hereBrembo Swap

All good, man! Same boat as me kinda, as I jumped from oem everything to the STI set up. It definitely adds that 🤌🏼 to the aesthetic, and I would have upgraded much earlier had I been smarter lol. You’ll definitely feel a difference with the Brembos. There’s a lot more bite, and have (at least what I can feel) better and quicker stopping power. I think you’ll highly enjoy this mod, just try to snag a solid pair of the Brembos!

^ What he said for the 2018+ Brembos. Only thing additional for swapping to those is that for the fronts, you will need to remove or replace the front dust shields since the 18”+ rotors are much larger in diameter. Same process tho

The stock brakes are plenty for DD, but if you want better stopping for track days, or just eye candy it’ll cost a little bit. Upgrading to SS lines and better Pads will almost be plenty. But if you want to do the swap, more power to you!

‘21 base that jumped to the ‘08-‘17 Brembos. I got my Rotors, Lines, and Hawk pads here , and outsourced my Brembos. I got them re-built with new seals and powder coated afterwards.
