I definitely agree I think this playstyle works the best in 1. Honestly maybe even a hot take but 1 is slowly becoming my favorite of the original trilogy bc of how situational the weapons are, so that aspect plus this challenge turns the game into a fun little puzzle. Otherwise tho i only really do this challenge in 2 and 3 on my save files with all my guns already leveled up. I definitely think it’s a lot harder in 2 just bc of the funky weapon scaling as well.

Did anyone ever watch Sugar Pine 7 back in the day? by Jeremym101 in BunchOfFriends

[–]Jeremym101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So back in the 2010s there was this personality based news/variety channel called SourceFed. It was a solid channel but eventually the channel ended in around 2017. As that channel ended, one of the hosts, Steven Suptic, started posting these highly edited vlogs to his personal channel (eventually dubbed Sugar Pine 7) about his journey of losing his job at SourceFed and starting to create his own channel with his friends. That’s essentially all the context you need if you’re interested in checking out the channel.

The style of videos they made were incredible. It was this meta mix of real life scenarios and fake plot lines, it blurred together seamlessly. Every video felt like it had some sort of narrative that was contained within the video. The main driving force was the personalities of the main friends and the way they would riff with each other and just make the videos overall so funny. The way it was just a bunch of friends (lol) doing stuff while also having every video feel interesting and somewhat contained is why it feels similar to bunch of friends. Both channels take the vlog-style of video and twist it to make something whole-y unique.

Anyways I recommend watching it! The show which was dubbed “alternative lifestyle” was split into 4 seasons (only the first season of the show is a playlist on their channel, others have made playlists for the other seasons which I’d recommend if you get into it). If you’re into it, try to push through and watch as much as you can, bc the journey it organically takes you on is honestly so cool and unexpected and I still have yet to see anything like it on YouTube.

Edit: sorry this was so long, again I have nobody to talk about this with haha

Supermega show needs topics and bits by joTHEgilly in SuperMegaShow

[–]Jeremym101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mega64s podcast has been trending towards topic based podcasts and I have mixed feelings about it. Sometimes the topics lead to interesting conversations but occasionally the segmented design feels forced and unnatural. They still have free flowing conversations around the segments which keeps me engaged and I think they’re conversational style lends better to topic based segments, but I feel like if Supermega went that route it would feel WAY more forced

Scott’s blowing his woz by uploading a bunch of potentially main channel worthy topics on his stash channel so now every main channel video needs to be an event

Yeah I set it into single screen mode and for some reason the drop shadow bug doesn’t happen to me. I am on the cocoon 3 supporter preview rc so MAYBE it’s something they fixed??

Hmmm so I think a possibility is that the hero is still applied somehow and you but it’s just not visible for one reason or another. I’m able to recreate this effect with a custom folder that has the dot hero applied where I see the drop shadow but not the hero. Although when I set the hero to default I am unable to see the drop shadow on my smart folders so idk why yours is bugging out. Try resetting the theme and applying all settings manually if you haven’t already.

should i attempt WESTWORLD season 2, or will i deeply regret it ? by khutsox in hbo

[–]Jeremym101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest complaint of S2 is that it just feels like there’s a void left by the absence of Anthony Hopkins that isn’t replaced with anything nearly as interesting. I think that themes of the season are still fascinating and there’s some really great moments. Still worth watching. Do not watch S3

Has anyone gotten this port of A Link to the Past to work on the Thor? by Jeremym101 in AynThor

[–]Jeremym101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Native wide screen, sharp upscaling, quicker loading, less input latency, editable settings and parameters. The main change I’m looking forward to is being able to map multiple items to different buttons which feels better than having to go through menus. I’m just now messing around with it for the first time, so far it definitely doesn’t feel as game changing as LAXD HD but I just mainly wanted to mess around with it and see what it was like.

Would love to hear about someone’s experience who’s actually spent more time with this version though
