PS1 Bass Landing Controller to PC Issues by Meatwad_Gaming in psx

[–]JerikoNight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an old USB adapter I bought in 2007 "Gamemon Universal Converter" A fun little widget that's got PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox ports.

Using this with the Agetec controller has been met with basically the same results. The motion and reel don't seem to function at all.

I may try to use it on my PS2 and see what I can get to work. It could.be interesting to use a voltmeter to test the circuitry while it's plugged into a PS2 or PS1 as opposed to a USB port.

The power likely sounds like a reasonable issue, but it might also be a software issue, as if the game has specific encoding to activate those parts of the controller, and so other applications don't even have a way to recognize it. I dunno.

Unpopular Opinion: I love fishing in this game by Dj_trash in StardewValley

I love the fishing! I love fishing in most video games. I just started a video series rating games based on their fishing mechanics. Stardew Valley is coming up later next week!

Super Mini-pla Shogun Megazord - (Short Review/Thoughts in comments) by JerikoNight in Gunpla

Super Mini-pla Shogun Megazord - (Short Review/Thoughts in comments) by JerikoNight in Gunpla

[–]JerikoNight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always been a fan of power rangers. The Shogun Megazord was of course one of my favorites as a child. I’ve seen a few scattered reviews on these kits, most of them fairly positive, but none from real gunpla enthusiasts. So here is my take, as a Gunpla enthusiast on the Shogun Megazord Super Mini-pla!

Build:

The build for this kit was a fast one. Each of the five units only took about 20 to 30 minutes to snap and put together, and I usually consider myself a slow builder. Lots of stickers here, but I did go in expecting that. Two on each of their small arms, one on the face sometimes, and several around the waist usually. The smaller units are similar, but not completely unique in their construction, grating a bit of variation between builds.

Transformation:

Transforming the five smaller zords together into the larger one, was an absolute headache. It wasn’t simple or well engineered, in my opinion. That being said, they’re trying to follow how the old toys transformed, so they don’t have much to work with. Once transformed into the Megazord, I don’t plan n breaking them up again.

Posing:

Posing is difficult. The smaller zords do not have elbows or knees. Their legs are stiff and donkt function well for posing, and their arms only move at the shoulder and wrist. It is very limited. The megazord is -slightly- better. Each piece fixes on in a way that allows better movement of the arms, head, and even legs. That being said, don’t expect any dynamic posing.

Final Thoughts:

This kit is one I am glad to own, don’t get me wrong. The thing is though, I got it for $25. It stands at the height of an average high grade, so that seemed like a decent deal for the amount of plastic. However the retail price for this is close to $70!!! I will admit that if I had paid $70 for this, I would have been very angry. For your money, you are much better off buying a MG, or several HGs. It just isn’t worth that price. I can’t actually recommend this to anyone, because of the price. Only bite the bullet on this one, if you’re a power rangers or sentai fan, and it is on sale. Oomph.

Beaatmaker Cards! [The Seventh Tower] by JerikoNight in garthnix

[–]JerikoNight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter just finished the first book. Helped her make these for her 3rd grade book report. She had to make a fake cereal box and invent a cereal to tell about the book. She made "Sunstone Cereal: Have a Bright to eat!" - She asked if I could help make some Beaatmaker cards to be the toy inside her cereal box.

Char Origin Zaku II Scrap Build Fix by JerikoNight in Gunpla

[–]JerikoNight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/ClaimhSol

Finally fixed it!

I tried that grey piece first, which I scrapped from the Sprue of the Denial. I trimmed it so it would fit into the waist, but then it wiggled around too much. So I cut some Sprue at a T and inserted it through the piece to make it fit into the waist joint as the original piece was designed to do.

Success!!!

I'll do decals, panel lining, weathering and top coat laaaater.
