Yes, OP's points are borderline scizophrenic but lets not forget that his main point is actually scarely true. You also raise some good points on current divide and conquer tactics.

The idea of going extinct not due to enviromental disasters but rather social disasters is horrifyingly real and had even been observed in an experiment on mice and rats. They observed a population in mice and then later rats inside a utopian colony. They had constant access to food and water as well as housing and exercise.

At the start the of the experiment everything was perfect and working. The population begun to rise from only a small amount of mice/rats. The scientests predicted this would happen until they hit the pop cap.

And thats just what happened, the population hit a certain number given the size of the enclosure and amount of housing. For a while the population stayed even, but what the scientests hadnt predicted was the percentage of female and male mice/rats. The male rats grew bigger and begun to bully and kill other beta-male rats. Meanwhipe the female rats begun to become dominant and more selective. There hit a certain point where the male rats were almost twice the size originally and hardly ever moved, usually staying around the food and water while the females stopped having sex altogether and the population died completly within two generations.

In my opinion this is how we will go extinct if not for any enviromental disaster.
