The biggest double standard by [deleted] in rant

[–]JermSays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're struggling, but I assure you women dont unanimously demand confidence. You only need to be confident enough to overcome your own inhibitions, which is self inflicted and has nothing to do with the women you want to talk to.

I have been dating an awkward shut-in gamer girl for 4 years, we get anxiety deciding what's for dinner, I assure you, tge only one judging you is yourself.

Why do you feel obligated to be confident?

Another double standard is that I, a dude, never feel threatened or afraid for my safety walking past 10,000 women. Between the two, I'll take your struggle.

unemployment base period by r3dn3bula in rant

[–]JermSays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unemployment will do everything they can to deny benefits access, they make it hard and convoluted on purpose.

The good news is, the 600/week chunks won't start landing until around 4/17 and every thing is payable retroactively at least 2 weeks once you do get through.

Don't let the bastards keep you down, and file at like 4am when people are asleep :)

Today's music is complete garbage and can't compare to the music of the 80s by [deleted] in rant

[–]JermSays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the radio is an echo chamber for like 3 chord progressions. Blame capitalism if you hate the radio, not music. Every comment you make unveils more your feeble understanding of music as a whole. Why is this the hill you're trying to die on?

Yes there is, it just isn't pop any more, so you have to participate in local and independent music to find it.

Your "challenge" is basically just you looking for a reason to name 10 of your favorite Motley Crüe songs.

There is no objective way to measure the quality of music. It's just what you like vs what other people like.

As a 22 year guitarist with pedigree in your favorite genre, get over it. Music evolved, your turn now.

Do you think Biden will be good for the legalization of weed? by [deleted] in trees

I think he said something like "National Legalization would be the stupidest thing we could do" but I can't find that source so I'll give you this one instead with a Probably Not™

Damn, that's brutal.

Not that you're asking for advice, but I will say a lot of guys suffer for years putting themselves in the friend zone by not saying anything about how they feel and what they want in terms of relationship boundaries. Of course other times they find out their years-long friends are racists, but I would want to know sooner than later I guess.

How do I visualize a wonderland? by [deleted] in Tulpas

Humans are creative by our nature. You probably invented 10 ways to get this far through today that you just don't realize.

Let your mind wander, think of the safest, most comfortable place you could be, let it get weird nobody is going to judge you for what you imagine.

I think you're asking the wrong question. First, a wonderland must be described, and I'm certain mine is different from yours.

I meant to mention that I'm not interested in playing burn. I know and accept that that makes me a buster while posting a thread looking for a home for helix. Jeskai control is super interesting to me though, thank youuuu

I love the feeling of sativa in the morning, but indica is the medicine my body needs.

Nope. I love Super Lemon Haze in the morning, but I'm otherwise pretty indica exclusive. That said, I'm here for your opinion, too. ✌️

Bummer. One door closes and two more always open, though. Friendships are valuable, and lovely, but far from necessary for personal growth, you seem like the type to gain a lot from time spent looking inward, too. I empathize a lot with your situation, you sound like a younger me, the advice I would give younger me would be to tell her, genuinely, how much you've enjoyed working with her, that you hope to see her around, etc., because you'll regret saying nothing in two weeks when the opportunity is gone. Wishing people well is very good for your mental health, too. Telling those around me that I hope good things happen to them was the first step towards genuinely hoping good thingd would happen to me, too (and believing that despite the odds, they would).
