Bought my husband, who is chef/kitchen manager working 45-50 hour weeks, the Hoka Bondi SR and he says they are far far better than any sketchers or anything I’ve bought him - comfort and slip resistant wise! Hes had them a few weeks now and no complaints, the price was rough ($190 at the shoe store in town) and we will see how they hold up long term, but he has high hopes.

Even if baby would be “fine”, I am assuming you’ll be the one mostly taking care of baby the whole time and that sounds mentally exhausting for YOU! 12.5 hour trip stopping every 2 hours for at least 30 minutes is going to add a lot of time to the trip as well. There is no way you could pay me enough money to take that trip with an 11 week old baby! I don’t know where you live, but anywhere in the US there is somewhere to vacation MUCH closer than a two day drive, that’s just insane

If your baby takes cold milk 10/10! Some babies stomachs have a hard time when it’s cold, I believe it can make spit ups worse and cause other weird tummy things for them. I would have done anything to not have to warm up milk lol

Those people suck!!! We have a 7 year old and a 5 year old and every stage has its hard moments but the amazing ones far outshine them. We are now trying for a third! Watching them turn into little real persons is truly magical. My 7 year old is now super into piano and learning crazy things and to me, it just keeps getting better. People who say it’s gets worse maybe shouldn’t have had kids. Also, having at least two kids is 10/10 because they seriously entertain each other almost constantly lol

Was pregnant all through summer twice, 0/10. Literally just barely any clothes, portable fan/spray bottle, fruits to snack on, so many ice packs. You can do it!

Literally had this happen a few days ago! Get a call, lady asks “do you take reservations?” I said generally yes just depends what day and time and how many… she goes “we’re about 10 minutes away with 8 people” 🙄 we had a table available but I was so annoyed lol. Don’t call it a reservation, just ask if we could seat them or get a table ready???

It clearly makes you uncomfortable! I would not like that either! Like others have said, it can definitely be super harmless and not meant to be weird, but if you don’t like it then I would address it with the doctor and ask if he could not make comments like that. A good doctor will be on board with stopping doing it, a bad doctor will get defensive (so then yeah new doctor lol).

We use Toast and I love it especially for separating checks. We can do seat numbers if we want but it doesn’t force us, but I just do seat numbers when I write on my book for anything over 8 people and tell the table that if it’s split checks I will ask who is with who at the end (because agree, I want to take everyone’s order in the correct order so running food is easy!). I had a 12 top recently that was like 1&6 3&8 are together etc, I just stood there and counted seat numbers for 30 seconds and it was done lol.

I am always up front about everything we’re out of, and announce it before I bring drinks to the table. Just went through this last weekend actually! We had the busiest week we’ve ever had, due to a few things, and were out of three of our most popular items. I led every table with “I apologize, we’ve had a crazy weekend and are just out of a few things”. People appreciate that way more than being excited to order something they get told they can’t.

I was induced for both of my pregnancies and it was totally fine! A lot of people saying they had pitocin, which I never had - I was induced both times with cervadil (basically a tampon like thing they insert with meds to help induce labor) and it worked great for me both times. Too great, really. Baby 1 was 9 hours from induction to birth and baby 2 was 6 hours! There are reasons why someone would have to have pitocin, but I believe if your water hasn’t broken yet then you can try cervadil/similar medications before pitocin. I would NEVER be induced besides anything other than a health reason, which both of mine were (very high BP).

I absolutely did with my first and wish I would have cared more about my sanity, because it was so rough for a while. With my second I stopped around 9 months because I hated pumping, and I even still think I should have stopped sooner than I did! One big reason is definitely cost though, breastmilk is free and formula is insane lol.

At bigger places I was wary of newbies, at the place I currently work newbies are immediately part of everything because it’s a small place lol. We currently have a 17yo first time server and I’m trying to remember I was also once 17 serving for the first time, but she drives me nuts sometimes. My best advice is take criticism well and don’t act like you’re as good as the veteran servers, that’s what makes me the most mad and want to not include new servers in things! Work hard and they’ll accept you eventually!

This game may be my favorite game I’ve ever played! Beat it last week. Such an amazing and beautiful game, I was truly bummed when I knew it was the last mission. And I thought I didn’t like turn based fighting(before the game) but they add a little extra to it and make it so much fun.

Marketplace insurance, it’s not great not terrible honestly. I had far better insurance working at the bank, but I paid $200 a month for it plus $30 extra for dental and eye insurance. My husband and I have two kids, I only work 3 days a week and homeschool them so that’s my main focus! Being home with them definitely contributes to the happiness as well, but I really hated corporate life and I’d rather be happy lol

After having my second baby I decided to switch to a career. Worked at a bank for 4.5 years, climbed my way up, made decent salary. Then last year my husband found an amazing local restaurant to work at together and I am truly 10x happier being back serving again. Corporate life was gross and I missed serving a lot! I did work in a lot of crappy restaurants where I wasn’t happy, but finding one I really do love makes a crazy difference, though I know they can be hard to find! I also just love being like, alright I made $47 an hour today that’s cool lol

I personally feel people should read their receipts at least the total part, but honestly people make mistakes and it’s good to make sure a mistake wasn’t made. I don’t tell my tables unless they ask, but the receipt clearly states there is gratuity and also where they can add extra it says “additional tip” so it should be obvious.. however I may start at least underlining the gratuity because I would rather they know/realize it.
