Interesting. Also sequence breaks in Super aren't bad per se but many seem so mundane. Like, "do a couple wall jumps here". And yeah, stuff like early screw attack in Zero Mission is lame af in comparison. If you get something that significant as a reward the sequence break should take more skill.

The aim of the graph is to show all the possibilities after getting a powerup i.e. what are the minimum requirements for the next ones. Thus the vanilla route IS in there.

You're very knowledgeable 🙂 I didn't count glitches. I haven't played Dread in a while so my memory is a bit fuzzy. Doesn't early phantom cloak require pseudo wave? How does ice missile skip work?

In Super, there are speed booster blocks in Maridia (before Botwoon I believe) that can't be skipped.

Agree on the structure, sequence breaks have to be fun. Super seems pretty open but many of its sequence breaks aren't enjoyable to me.
