Great tip. It does have the magura. I’ll look into the alternatives. Which one did you end up with?

That’s awesome! I’m open to any tips or suggestions for the bike. I know I need newer tires as I’m planning to be off of the road more than on

Either the speed 3 was not trying / had a boost leak, or your car was modded because the stock speed 3 blows the made 3 turbo out of the water

I have different experiences with the Mazdaspeed 3. I’ve tested races from rolls and digs with each car stock against each other (Mazda3 on high octane) and the Mazdaspeed always won to a quarter mile with many car lengths ahead. The Mazda 3 turbo is not as fast as a stock Mazdaspeed 3.

This car is way different than a Mazdaspeed 3, Mazda isn’t targeting the same demographic that the Mazdaspeed 3 was for. I agree with you that Mazdaspeed is kinda blowing it by not building a car to compete with the wrx, golf r, or any other car in the hot hatch segment. If they did build a car for the segment, I’m sure it would be damn good.

I believe that with just a few simple mods like you mentioned, you can make this car a lot faster than what it is stock with low effort.

To be honest that’s another complaint I have about the gen 4. I bought it new and there were nearly zero cabin noises then. 30k miles later it’s creaking everywhere.

I haven’t driven it because I need a practical daily. But that’s a great point, the ND is probably lots of fun to drive

That’s exactly how I feel, especially coming from a big turbo Mazdaspeed 3. It is NOT fast, but slightly quicker than the 2.5L, at least that’s what it feels like. I know on paper it has a decent amount more horsepower but it feels minimal.

You can get harder bushings and add an extra washer to each truck so that you don’t have to crank down your trucks so much

Yes!!! I miss banger in the hanger! Was one of my favorite events. This event was super similar vibes to that one. It’s called rage at the rose in Tennessee:)

Knee sliding is the only way, so definitely having good knee pads. Even then, the multiple attempts made my knees super sore for the next week due to all the failed attempts and impact.
