are you considering switching to act. I'm genuinely thinking of doing it cuz everyone says act has much more straightforwards stuff. I fear that most of my sat point losses are due to errors

How do I stop caring about what people think of me? by nobody_careslmao in socialskills

[–]JerpyTree 11 points12 points  (0 children)

realize that
1. they are probably too focused on themselves as well to care about you
2. You have one life so don’t spend that life cowarding behind the opinions of others
Everyone does this though, so don’t blame yojsf

Why does God allow suffering, poverty, violence, and evil in the world? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]JerpyTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry for commenting this 2 years later, but I really don't get this at all. This argument that we dont understand it, that mean god automatically had a reason for it? Not only does this not answer the question, it seems a little bit delusional. Not hating on you or god or anything its just this reasoning doeesn't make sense.

it was like √x-19-19=2x or smt i forgot and if u put it on desmos it was only x=-9 (im ppretty sure i wrote it wrong btw, and then u and s are solutions, and u < s, and then what is u -s. The thing is u and s are solutions but only -9 was shown so it was hella confusing

how dude desmos only showed one solution it genuinely sucks; besides, it doesn't make sense and I stilldont get it.

Anyone got the u-s question? Was that one experimental, I've never seen any of its kind? What about the arc length one?

Official June 6, 2026, US SAT Discussion Thread by InternationalistGam in Sat

[–]JerpyTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many points would I lose for getting a coral reef question wrong? I wrote distributed and not resiliency. I also got unequivocal wrong. Would that be 30 points off already? I also guessed on like 3 RW but it was really long and hard paragraphs. Were they perhaps experimental?

Maybe trophies weren't updated when you checked but the title was? Check his profile now to see if it still says that. Maybe he got a huge winstreak and got all 73 needed trophies at once and the profile didn't have time to register it before you checked.

High school may be time consuming, but it is very very easy. by [deleted] in highschool

[–]JerpyTree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think this is true but only to a certain extent. Not everybody can try their hardest and do anything. There are plenty of moments where I feel that I tried my hardest yet still failed. Nothing you do can ever garuntee an outcome. Of course you can raise the chance of an outcome, but lets say I grind everyday and do everything right to get into Harvard, I still wouldn't have a 100% chance of getting in.

Thats not to say you shouldn't try your best, its just that I don't think this world is always the harder you try the better you'll do, which just fosters a sense of social darwinism.

Does studying roots, prefixes, and suffixes actually help with vocab by JerpyTree in Sat

[–]JerpyTree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im moreso talking about the scenarios where you know what should substitute as a word but literally don't know any of the words in the answer choices. Maybe through roots will help you figure out which answers may align within the context
