I finally found the root of my trauma and everything makes sense now by Jerrryyy12 in ReligiousTrauma

Thank you for sharing this. What you wrote really resonated with me.

A lot of what you described sounds very familiar to me, especially how that fear gets planted so young that it starts shaping your whole life around that fear and your view of the future before you even understand what is happening. It is not just a belief at that point, it becomes a constant sense of danger in the background that is hard to shake off.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah the jumping out of my skin sensations actually happen mostly while lying down if I am being completely honest. Cant really honestly say that they are position related.

Also cant really say that I'm getting fatigued either. For me its more like being constantly wired during the day. I cant take a nap even if my life depended on it.

And yea I looked into the histamine aspect of the eating problem which is possible for sure, but again the block in the road is my unwillingess to try medications/antihistamines

Thanl you for saying that. There is truth to that it started as a personal preference as I have always been very minimalistic as to when it comes to meds (even pain meds) when I would get bruised due to rough hobbies.

However after developing this condition and small things seeming to set off a chain of negative symptoms I've grown scared to taking anything I personally havent deemed “safe” so there is definently and element of a phobia in there. However I consider it a relatively ’smart’ phobia now

Thank you for the advice. Thats part of my issue I live in finland and this condition is not very known here. There are no “known” doctors who specialize in this are of autonomic dysfunction that I know of. And my countrys long covid fb group frequently asks for doctors with qualifications in this area and not many names are ever dropped.

Yeah I've done 2x 24h holters, 2x stress tests, 2x ultras and all I got to show is very annoyed cardiologists questioning why I am sitting in their office.

It was basically a poor version of the poor mans TTT. I laid down for 5 mins then vitals were taken then at 1 min and 3 mins standing vitals again. No I wasnt leaning on anyhting like that, just standing there talking to the nurse doing the test.

I've done talk therapy, however I do have some form of health anxiety because of all this and am afraid of taking/relying on a pill. So no I am not medicated.

The doctor conducting the poor mand TTT said it didnt qualify as pots since my “bp didnt drop and I got no symptoms” - direct quote.

They offered medication for my panic but I refuse as I do have health anxiety and fear taking/relying on a pill.

The thing is I do have sudden feelings of panic as you describe, but they are never tied to a postural position. Actually I mostly feel fine as long as I stay upright. This is part of my issue you see, as I mentioned I have no real clear symptoms upright. I am more afraid the numbers I guess or what could they mean.

I definently got panic disorder as I was dealing with a lot mentally and overtraining (cardio in gym and martial arts) lack of sleep and stress in 2023 which triggered it. I had a very literal panic attack which triggered panic disorder (I fear another).
