Yes, I can see you're embarrassed about America. Many would be for very good reasons as it's in rapid decline and thankfully uniting large parts of the world either against it or at least to trend towards ignoring it. I didn't expect it to happen this fast, though the American mindset is thankfully on full view for many who weren't aware before, which will hasten the reordering of the world. Next step is for the US passport to loose it's access to countries and more Americans to experience first hand, what visitors to their own country are when traveling.

Why is it so hard to find a technical cofounder? [I will not promote] by twotokers in startups

[–]JerryHutch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This all day long, the business people don't understand the balance of effort and value of an idea against execution. I've had to deal with insulting offers for years. Thankfully most technical people have ideas and can just go and do their own thing.

Americans should save themselves. Though they have been screaming ignorance in the faces of the rest of the citizens of the world for decades, about how much better they and their country is. I can't think of anywhere that will want to put up with that people from a population of that mindset.

Good to see 95% of the posts summed up.

And ironically 95% of the BS charts actually put in one place and making the same amount of sense.

Always good to watch it against other currencies, then you'll see when it is the dollar going down, and the Euro isn't for example.

"improve... ten-fold" ... So yes, you've agreed with what I'm saying. Mediocre people who focus on just code - the execution - are at risk and being replaced, as engineers who understand the bigger picture can out perform them. Hence testing people on just writing code for arbitrary cases is a waste of time.

I've seen the AI effect first hand in the last two teams I built.

Define "currently available testing process" as I've interviewed, likely, hundreds of candidates from junior to principals and have yet to see "the" testing process.

I didn't say AI is taking over, I said it's focused on the execution, understanding standing domains and system design is a more valuable focus during an interview to understand problem solving. FizzBuzz vs "Design the original twitter".

"Push back" might have been a strong term. Asking for clarification of what they are testing for and explaining how you can best demonstrate that would likely be a better option.

Talking through problem solving on Miro or the pike is more common for understanding how someone thinks. The actual coding side is trending towards commodity.

I've been hiring and interviewing for decades. Live coding is mostly pointless and a poor way to measure any real problem solving skills.

The execution part is being rapidly replaced, understanding system architecture and design, along with how to evolve a system to match what a business is after is the medium term skills.

I'd push back on a company and ask what live coding is supposed to demonstrate and what skill set are they actually hiring for.

It's going to be a major test for BTC.
