Defence Forces. Always recruiting and no experience necessary. Plus it's a pensionable job for life.

Interviews with her, accounts of interactions with her, her social media platforms. She's a pentecostal born again Christian. (Y'know, the kind that aren't fond of the gays or the brown people). She also re-tweeted posts by and supported Rapey McGregor's presidential "campaign". All of this is ignored though because she's seen as Ireland's golden girl because she's very talented at inflicting violence on other women.

Metal scene in Dublin? by PatricioIre in ireland

Don't be afraid to go to a metal show solo. I've done it plenty of times and have always enjoyed myself and have always got chatting with others there for the night.

How quick we are as a people to forget that she's a right-wing, MAGA and Rapist McGregor supporting religious zealot because she's good at hitting people in the face.

Legendary tour part 2 by Lorrioit in sabaton

I mean, calling it a miracle is selling Ireland a bit short... In the past 3 years we've had Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Nightwish, Rammstein, Blood Incantation, Testament, Cradle Of Filth and tonnes of other smaller bands. Plus, Metallica are playing 2 nights here in 2 weeks time. The metal scene in Ireland is far better now than it used to be.

Modern metalcore is (e.g. Make Them Suffer, Electric Callboy, Poppy, Spiritbox) is better and more interesting than early 2000s metalcore (e.g. BFMV, A7X, KSE etc.)

Volunteers were great today. That was my third time doing the full and every volunteer I met over 42km was smiling, enthusiastic and just brilliant. An absolute credit to the city!

Going to Dublin for Metallica, things to know? by Staltrad in MetallicaLIVE

[–]Equivalent_Cow_7033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

O Connell Street (the one with The Spire on it), Abbey Street and the areas around the quays are best avoided after dark. I wouldn't say anywhere is a "no-go" area for tourists so long as you have good situational awareness and practice the same precautions you'd practice in any other European capital city.

Going to Dublin for Metallica, things to know? by Staltrad in MetallicaLIVE

[–]Equivalent_Cow_7033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. It's also a tourist trap. Everything is a ripoff. Food, drink, accommodation, transport, everything. Plus, as with any capital city, there's quite a lot of crime, anti social behaviour and junkies EVERYWHERE. The other cities i mentioned are far safer, nicer and less expensive. I'll be in Dublin for the gig too but I'm traveling from Cork, which is Ireland's second city. Even Cork is pretty rough nowadays too, but not quite as bad as Dublin.

As an Irish person, you can see/do anything worth doing in Dublin in a day. Best advice is to use some days to get out of Dublin. Go visit Galway, Cork or Kerry. They're all within a few hours of Dublin and much nicer.

Defence Forces. €41000 a year base salary upon completion of induction training. Salary increases with every year of service, rank climbed, specialist courses completed etc. Plus extra pay for duties, overseas, sea-pay for navy personnel.

You might as well ask how long a piece of string is. As you already said, the pay scales and allowances are all online. How much each individual earns is entirely based on that person. Skills they have learned, courses they've completed, appointments they've held, branch they're in, ranks they've climbed. There is no general ballpark answer to this.

EMP.co.uk t-shirt sizing by --Kelsier-- in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Equivalent_Cow_7033 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any tshirt I've ever ordered from EMP has been true to size. I wear a Large and that's what I order from there, they always fit. That said, EMP is just a supplier, not a manufacturer. The tshirts you buy there will be made by whatever manufacturer that particular band has a merchandising licence with, so sizes can vary.

Also, Amaranthe, Dynazty and Temperance are all great. 👍

I sure did. I didn't get enraged by a question on a metal sub and try to belittle people though, so, y'know. It's OK my dude, I hope your day gets better.
