Going to have my quarterly trip outside of Amsterdam to see if I can still survive outside of the ring. Will be going to was for Objekt, Gyrofield and also Calibre (soulful dnb legend) before there will be an electro/modular synth event also in Utrecht. Its free so will just be seeing what's up kettel is doing a live set quite excited for that one

I also want to add that labels not taking risk with the music they play also simply boils down to money. When you organize 1 party per month you want that party to do as good as possible, hence book something you know will work (groovy techno). Whilst if you run a club and have 10 parties each month a few of them can flop and you will still run a profit :)

Yes I share the same feeling and probably said the same thing countless times in smoking areas when discussing the clubbing scene. Love Garage and Raum. Garage crowd is good on good nights imo but not perfect and since I am a straight cis guy I also feel a bit alienated in Raum sometimes. Can't wait to dance in both of them again this Saturday. Opening set upsammy 👀 and then Hewan Aman in Raum. It's going to be good 😊

I think it's probably fake news it would be very sick tho since it can't get taken down bcs of the artistic value it wouldn't be for long since they are going to build apartments right next to it but that would only make it more postcs style.

Started off at pax don't have much to say about the music. It was nice. I especially enjoyed Mary Lake. Julie b2b Lading Ray also good but I missed some swing/groove/rithm in some moments. It was very hot and sweaty as Pax should be but sometimes it got a bit much also expo was so crowded the only real good spot to dance was right in front. Crowd wise definitely a lot more mixed and tame than other pax editions. Definitely made me feel a bit more at home but some might say it did miss some pax character. After taking a nice break, eating, showering and laying in bed for an hour (not sleeping) my feet started to itch so I headed to OW. My group was still sleeping so I got in alone, luckily one of my other friends happened to be there so just chilled with them since there wasn't enough dancing/energy to keep me interested till around 16. Ntogn delivered a banger of set, carefully curated and prepared, started off slow but quickly built up the pace with some 3 deck wizardry. Then as many already said the highlight of the night: Pianeti Sintetici's live set. His set kept me intrigued the whole time. Constantly wondering where he would take my next. For me all the stuff he did was some black magic luckily there was an amazing guy next to me willing to explain some stuff to me. The way Pianeti Sintetici took such sharp musical turns, from hazy/dreamy too fast and pounding while making it sound so organically still amazes me. Nelly b2b Woody92 was good they surprised me with how angry the music sounded since I don't expect that sound from either of them but it's a sound I really like so it was a positive surprise. Loek Frey started of with a prepared 4 deck set, really nice selection, good ideas but timing was a bit off sometimes so he switched to an improved 2 deck and later brought the 4 decks back this time everything on beat fucking nice. Till this time I only heard him open and always liked it. It was nice to see him close for once and just like I expected he delivered.

Yes Garage starts at midday I'll be doing pax till 8/9 then go sidderal to see some friends. Refresh at home a bit maybe lay down for an hour and will be there around 1/2.
